Borussia Dortmund will only be able to sign the Chelsea loan, Carney Chukwuemeka, permanently if he secures a Champions League site, according to German reports.
The Bundesliga Club brought Chukwuemeka during the January transfer window, rescuing the young midfielder of a frustrating spell on Stamford Bridge.
Despite showing his promise, the International International of England struggled to cease a place in Chelsea’s squad under Enzo Maresca, as well as previous blues managers.
Injuries, constant management changes and Chelsea’s revolving door of the new signings did not help their development. A summer distance seemed likely, but the high price of Chelsea kept him hooked on the limb Until Dortmund moved this winter.
After two years of limited play time, Chukwuemeka continues to work on Dortmund’s team. So far, it has only managed 24 minutes in two substitute appearances, but there have been some potential visits.
The Chukwuemeka Carney Agreement in Borussia Dortmund could be only temporary

Dortmund negotiated a purchase option for ChukwuemekaBut reports on the exact figure have changed. Initially, Fabrizio Romano suggested that the club could have to pay more from its launch clause of 48 million euros, but this was always unlikely to have the usual Dortmund transfer limits.
Bild claims The actual purchase clause is set at 35 million euros, but Dortmund will only trigger the agreement if they are classified in the champions league next season.
The club has already paid Chelsea € 1 million for the loan and covers € 6 million in wages for the rest of the season. Without the additional revenue of European football, a strong permanent transfer of 35 million euros could be out of the reach of BVB.
Dortmund’s bad way this season makes his champions league hopes uncertain. They are currently tenth in Bundesliga, sitting seven points behind Freiburg in fourth.
If they are taken away, he would join Ousmane Dembele as one of Dortmund’s most expensive signings. But they have to go around the season first.
