Carlo Ancelotti has given Jude Bellingham’s injury update after being substituted during Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Girona on Saturday.
The Whites remember a convincing victory during their weekend League clash thanks to goals from Bellingham, Arda Guler and Kylian Mbappe. Their triumph moved them closer to league leaders Barcelona and reduced the gap to just two points after the The Catalans drew 2-2 with Real Betis.
Concerns were raised regarding the Madrid star Bellinghamhowever, after he was replaced with Dani Ceballos at the time of scoring. After providing a goal and an assist, the England international appeared to be in pain as he made his way to the bench.
“Bellingham are scoring their fifth goal in a row and are in good form,” Ancelotti told reporters after the meeting. “He has a bit of fatigue in his leg. He preferred not to take any chances in the last few minutes. He is fine and available for Tuesday. Arda and Mbappé have scored and Brahim (Diaz) has been good. (Ferland) Mendy has had muscle injury. The rest are knocks, nothing more.
“We had to hang on in the beginning because they pushed a lot. We did a good job offensively and then managed the lead well. After Bellingham’s goal the team had more clarity and good ideas. The second half it was very good. We had to endure the injuries and little by little we will improve.”
Madrid will return to action on Tuesday when they face Atalanta Champions Leaguefor which Ancelotti believes Bellingham will be available.
