In a year that is filled with some very sweet, limited edition dresses, Srixon-Cleveland had, until recently, visibly smooth.
The company broke that silence in a large way a few weeks ago with the fall of its jaws RTZ wedge collaboration with Swag. Them money Wedges were not fluke. Today Srixon is celebrating the Ryder Cup with a limited edition Captain KEEGAN BRADLY SIGNING Z-STAR DIAMON GOLF BALS.
Oh captain, my captain
Bradley is a long time Srixon-Cleveland Personnel, so his brand is making him the honor of putting mug on his golf ball.
“Keegan has always embodied what it means to be a competitor and now, a leader,” says communication director Srixon Noelle Zavaleta. “We are honored to support him with a product that reflects his grief, pride and love for the team golf.”
It may not be Bradley choosing not to name himself as a Ryder Cup player, but hey, no one else in the team has their face in a golf ball.
The ball itself contains a cartoon of a mustache bradyley on a blue lid and red striped shirt. The box contains Bradley’s signature and serves as an homage to the roots of the New England captain, complete with an illustration of the Boston horizon.
A family tradition
Bradley is not the first member of his family to capture the US in international competition. His aunt, LPGA Hall of Famer Pat Bradley, was a member of Solheim Cup’s inaugural team in 1990. She later captured the US team in 2000.
Aunt had caused a kerfuffle that year when she led Annika Sorenstam to repeat a strong chip kick because Sorenstam played out of the turn. Sorenstam lost the repeated shooting, but the Europe team won in the end, restoring the 14½ Solheim Cup to 11½.
In her career, Pat Bradley won 31 LPGA events and six diplomas.
