Canelo took me moment, not Crawford

David Banavidez confirmed in an interview that he would not go to 168 to challenge Terence Crawford for his undisputed Super Midweight Championship.

Crawford has rather entered the stage

Benavidez says it should have been he who fought Canelo (63-3-2, 39 COs). He believes it must have been his moment to fight against Alvarez, not Crawford. However, Benavidez blames Canelo because he did not want to fight against him because he knew he would lose. It must have been ‘the Mexican monster’ that night on September 13.

Canelo’s missed opportunity

What the Mexican superstar Alvarez does not realize is that it would have looked better in the eyes of the fans and in the record books if he lost against Benavidez than for Crawford, because he would have a built -in excuse That he lost for the younger, bigger man to fall on.

Instead, it seems bad that he was beaten by Crawford, which basically raised three weight divisions from welterweight to super -middle weight to dethrone him.

“I have no interest in going to 168. I’m not saying I’m afraid of Crawford. He is the man at 168. This is his weight class. I think Crawford took it more serious than Canelo. He looked like he didn’t prepare 100%and threw 10 strokes per round, ‘David Benavidez told Fight Hub TV.

Benavidez adds that he would not move to 168 to resist Crawford for any amount. He is not interested in that struggle. Again, he still wants to fight against Canelo, but it is doubtful whether it will ever happen. If he wasn’t fighting against him before, he probably won’t do it now after losing against Crawford.

“It was my moment”

“His ego is so big that he thought he could walk through him, catch him with a big shot, and it would be done. I’m not happy that he lost. I just felt that it could have been. It was my moment, ” Banavidez said about the feeling that he is the one who earned Canelo. “I would have lifted my hand, which is why it didn’t happen.”

Benavidez is right. He must have been who had the fight with Canelo, because he had been chasing him for years when he fought against Super Middelig. He only moved up to 175 because Alvarez would not fight. Benavidez deserves the fight against Canelo more than Crawford, who has never fought in the 168 -pound weight class.
