It is now official that the Canelo Alvarez will be staged against Terence Crawford Super Fight on September 13 at the 65,000-seat Allegiant Stage in Las Vegas. The event is displayed directly on Netflix.
Allegiant stage host Canelo-Crawford
It will be interesting to see if the Allegiant Stadium sells out. Although there is interest in the struggle of fans, it was not much different from Canelo’s other recent battles. Crawford has been active in his career for the past five years to keep his popularity high.
He was not selected for this battle from the question of fans, but because Turki Alalshikh loves him. So there are questions whether fans want to see the battle right, because many of them are not fans of Crawford. These are Canelo fans.
Once it was announced that the fight in Las Vegas would take place, Canelo-Crawford will be kept in this venue. It is a big enough place to put the many fans traveling from California, Arizona and Texas to see that Canelo (63-2-2, 39 COs) defends his undisputed super-middleweight championships against Crawford (41-0, 31 COs).
Turki Alalshikh’s fighting vision
Turki Alalshikh revealed at X last week that he wants “young, hungry fighters who deserve the chance to act under the bright lights.” He sees Canelo-Crawford as “the biggest struggle”, and he doesn’t think it should have a bottom map with big battles.
He mentions that he wants these fighters for the bottom map:
– junto nakatani
– Christian Milli
– Muhammad Alakel
– Reito Tsutsumi
– Justin Viloria
– Emiliano Alvarado
– Jamar Talley
– Abdullah Mason
– Nishant Dev
Legacy Fight: Crawford’s big payday
This is a struggle that Crawford wants much more than Canelo, because it is a big payday for the Nebraska native, and he feels that it will sement his legacy as the number 1 of all time. It also gives Crawford the chance to become an undisputed champion of three divisions. He previously imprisoned undisputed championships at 140 and 147.
He initially showed interest in trying to do it at 154, but after the difficult time he had last year against WBA junior middleweight champion Israil Madrimov, he gave up the idea. With Canelo, all the belts were rounded off by him; He is old with endurance problems, and Crawford stands a better chance of hitting him than against the younger champions at 154.
