Canelo Alvarez roasted Challenger Terence Crawford with some of his comments at today’s press conference at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Canelo: “Not at my level”
The undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo (63-2-2, 39 COs) continued with his theme that Crawford (41-0, 31 COs) did not fight anyone during his 17-year-old pro career. He said the only reason Terence ‘looked big’ is because he is “No one fought.“No lies were told here.
The only thing Crawford, 37, could say is that he fought Errol Spence, for which the box public did not give him credit because it comes after Errol’s terrible 100 mph car accident in 2019. Canelo had a field day today and let Crawford know that he is not at his level.
Terence Crawford: “Look if I run you off if you’re supposed to be the bigger man,” Bud said during today Las Vegas press conference.
Canelo Alvarez: “Hey, you say it because you didn’t fight with anyone and you of course look like a big fighter (if you fight less opposition).”
Outdated victories: Burns, Gamboa
Crawford’s fans on social media tried to defend him and pointed out that he hit Ricky Burns and Yuriorkis Gamboa during his career. These battles took place 11 years ago in 2014, and they don’t even count at this point.
The reality is that Crawford has not built a resume to earn to fight for a world title against Canelo at 168. He gets the fight due to Turki Alalshikh, but he doesn’t deserve it like the fighters in the division, such as Diego Pacheco and Christian Mbilli.

Crawford was supposed to be better prepared at this press conference than the previous, because he didn’t have much to say. Today, Crawford was like a broken record, he repeated himself and lost his temper when asked questions that were somewhat the same by the various media members. Rather than using another answer, Crawford sounded like a parrot and said he was going to be “on Mount Rushmore” after beating Canelo.
