Canelo Alvarez operation October 23, return in mid-2026

Superstar Canelo Alvarez will undergo his left elbow arthroscopic surgery next month, October 23, to remove fragments of the leg in the aftermath of his defeat against Terence Crawford.

Canelo’s timeline for elbow operations

The injury made Canelo’s unanimous 12 round decision even harder to swallow. He lost his undisputed super-middleweight championships against an older, smaller 38-year-old Crawford (42-0, 31 COs).

The Nebraska Crawford has moved two weight classes to dethrone him in front of a large multitude of 70-482 fans at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Of course, this was an embarrassment to the Mexican star who was beaten by a man he was supposed to defeat.

According to Mike CoppingerAlvarez (63-3-2, 39 COs) must wear a pendulum for four to six weeks after surgery. If it comes down, he will still be able to return to the ring in the second quarter of 2026.

Canelo, 35, has two more fights left on his four-game contract with the Riyadh season of Turki Alalshikh. If Alvarez does return, he will have to match carefully if they do not want him to lose again, because he does not seem able to defeat the top five-level contenders at 168.

Williams’ fire breathing takes

For the past three years, Canelo has succeeded in getting past by not fighting the crop of the crop at Super Middleweight, which is why Crawford was able to beat him.

The three names driven for Alvarez’s next fight in 2026:

  • Chris eubank jr.
  • Hamzah sheeraz
  • Christian Milli

Of these names, Mbilli is the right talent, a man who would probably be the champion if Alvarez hadn’t given him the cold shoulder for the past two years.

Crawford’s victory more over Canelo

It was not a situation where Crawford looked big from there. Canelo looked worse than him, and it was enough for him to lose. The way Bud acted, he would have lost to at least three to four of the top super -middleweights, possibly even more. I have to say, Crawford looked as old as the hills, but Canelo was so bad, it didn’t matter. Both of these guys would be food for the fighters below.

The Big Four at Super Middle Weight

You will see what I am talking about if Crawford prefers to defend his 168 -pound undisputed championship against any of the Big Four:

  1. Osleys Iglesias
  2. Christian Milli
  3. Lester Martinez
  4. Diego Pacheco

Chris Williams has been covered since 2010, which brought fans reliable analysis and insight from the opposite of the head events.
