It was spoken that Canelo Alvarez be motivated to punish Terence Crawford after hearing the comments from fans that he could not cut off the ring in their September 13 match in Las Vegas.
Hearn’s Canelo Movement Comments
Promoter Eddie Hearn is one of them who commented that Canelo (63-2-2, 39 COs) has problems with fighters who use movement at this stage of his career.
“Anyone who has movement will cause Canelo problems at this stage in his career, ”Eddie Hearn told Yahoo Sports.
It is understandable why Canelo would be upset about Hearn selling him shortly with his observation. Alvarez fought many runners during his career, and many of them younger than the 38-ish Crawford.
Terence’s coach, Brian ‘Bomac’ McIntyre, has already said they are the blueprint by Floyd Mayweather Jr. To be set up to defeat the undisputed Super Middleweight Champion Canelo, 35, at the Allegiant Stage in Las Vegas.
Mayweather did not run from Canelo, but he only used enough movement to avoid his pressure to win a 12 round in 2013. It was not the most enjoyable struggle to look at, but Floyd achieved victory with his hit-and-run style.
It is doubtful that it would have worked in Canelo’s lead, as his power increased and he became more aggressive with age. But that version of Canelo was defeated by Mayweather.
Canelo’s ring clipping challenge
Hopefully Crawford is not running because there will be many boxing fans who look at the event. Turki Alalshikh has already said that he does not want Tom and Jerry fights. If Crawford wants to continue to fight on Turki’s cards, he must stay in the bag and fight.
Turki is setting up the Canelo-Crawford match and calling it ‘The Fight of the Century’, when it may not be the biggest battle of 2025. All the hype will then be laughed at by fans as Crawford of Canelo.
