Tim Bradley was impressed by Jermall Charlo’s performance against Thomas Lamanna last Saturday night and believes he can get a big payday against Canelo Alvarez if he can ‘stay focused’.
What he means by that is that Charlo (34-0, 23 COs) must remain active, and not disappear for two years as he has done twice over the past four years. Charlo, 35, looked slowly and looked like he was wearing Lamanna (39-6-1, 18 COs).
The two became friendly during the build -up to their fight. That was perhaps why Jermall did not go for the knockout early.
Important contenders for Canelo
Bradley offered no suggestions for whom Jermall should fight, to continue to continue and create fan interest. If he wants to get the Canelo fight, he will have to beat these kinds of contenders:
– Edgar Berlanga
– Hamzah Sheeraz
– Christian Milli
– Diego Pacheco
Bekemir melikuziev
– Bruno Surace
– Darius Furyhum
“Jermall came back and looked properly in this battle. I expected him to get this knockout victory,” Tim Bradley said on his Youtube Channel on Jermall Charlo’s actions in his return against Thomas Lamanna last Saturday night. “He came in shape and did the work.”
Charlo did the job, but he did not look “decent” in his actions against Lamanna. Jermall looked like a shell from the fighter he was in 2023 against Jose Banavidez jr.
Is Canelo fighting realistic?
“Jermall, if you stay focused, you have a little left in your left. You can still do something at 168. You can even pull out the Canelo battle. Think about it – that bag against Canelo. You get on the Turki card. It’s something to think about. If it doesn’t motivate you and keep you straight, then I don’t know what will, ‘says Bradley.
Jermall cannot be taken seriously as a potential opponent for Canelo Alvarez unless he beats one or two top contenders at 168. It is not enough that he defeats Lamanna and Caleb plant. It’s not going to work. The plant lost to Armando Resendiz last Saturday night, and it will look bad if Charlo fights him to use as a step to get a fight against Canelo.
