Promoter Eddie Hearn feels the question for tonight’s fight is whether Jack Catterall (29-1, 13 KOs) can withstand the power of former two-time light welterweight champion Regis Prograis (29-2, 24 KOs) in their bout for the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester.

Is Prograis too powerful for Catterall?
If Catterall can’t handle the heavy shots of Prograis, he won’t last long in their fight. That won’t make Hearn happy, as he already plans for Catterall to challenge Liam Paro or Richardson Hitchins for the IBF light welterweight title.
We haven’t seen Catterall face an A-level fighter in his career before, and he might come apart tonight when he comes into Prograis. Catterall beat Josh Taylor in his last fight, but he was completely shot, and he wasn’t who he was in the past.

“My style of fighting, the higher level of boxer I face. Sometimes I was a victim of undershooting when I boxed a lesser caliber opponent, and my levels dropped,” says Jack Catterall. ”I think you will see with Regis that the better the opponent, the better I will be. If I win on Saturday, I’ll go for Liam Paro.
“I keep saying over and over, this is one of the biggest fights you can make at 140 outside of the belts that are on the line,” Prograis said. “I feel like it’s the perfect time and the perfect fight for both me and him.
Prograis is right about his fight against Catterall being one of the biggest in the light welterweight division because there aren’t many big names. Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney are inactive, and will likely both move up to 147. Teofimo Lopez is expected to do the same soon. Liam Paro is not good in the US, and not a star.
