Richardson Hitchins is the favorite for his IBF Light Welterweight title defense against veteran George Kambosos Jr. On paper, Hitchins (19-0, 7 COs) should make it look easy, and beat the former United Three Belts Lightweight Champion Kambosos (22-3, 10 COs) in their main liner in the theater in Madison Square Garden in New York.

Hitchins Cambosos: Fight Preview
Kambosos jr’s gravel, wants to win, and aggressiveness can enable him to overcome the enormous skill benefit Hitchins, 27, on Saturday.
This Saturday, June 14, the Hitchins Cambosos Jr. event will be broadcast on Dazn, which starts at 7pm ET/16:00 PT. It is estimated that the ring walk at 23:00 ET / 20:00 pt. In the co-function, Andy Cruz stands in front of Hironori Mishiro in an IBF lightweight title Eliminator.
As George and his team watched Richardson’s fighting against Liam Paro, Gustavo Lemos and Jose Zepeda, they noticed that he fell to pieces if he put under uninterrupted pressure. Hitchins will not leave his ground. He started running and climbing when he was trapped.
Hitchins’ weaknesses: Press and angle
Interestingly, the New Yorker Hitchins does not follow the instructions from his angle as their orders bark, saying that he should stop moving and coming forward. He won’t do it, no matter what his coach tells him. He seems to lose his mind in stressful situations, as we saw in the later rounds against Paro, Lemos and Zepeda.
Hitchins are further than listening When he is under the knife, he is relentlessly attacked by his opposition. Team Kambosos will have noted that this weakness in Richardson and George will give his attack orders to go after him, and put him under relentless pressure. This is how Kambosos can win.
George Kambosos Jr.: Comeback Trail
With a win Saturday night against Hitchins, Kambosos can eliminate its one-hit wonder label. I believe that the ‘Emperor’ Kambosos could bring the fierce he showed in his troubled victory over Theofimo Lopez in 2021. It was missing in the last five fights, but it’s still there.
He is only 31 and looks physically the same as when he struck out the living daylights four years ago. He does not need the fountain of youth or a working time machine to defeat hitchins. Kambosos needs the Madman Mentality he had for the Lopez fight.
