Terence Crawford looks unrecognizable from his former self with the weight he was wearing, while sustaining his title against the undisputed Super Middelweight Champion Canelo Alvarez on September 13 at Las Vegas.
Canelo exposes a false 168
Crawford fans believe that the size he put in will be a game changer, which will lead him to dominate Canelo just as he did while campaigning at 147. Canelo’s fans know better. They saw that Alvarez defeated a rehydrated Edgar Berlanga of 193 pounds last year.
It is believed that Crawford is between 14 and 20 pounds of muscle in the year that he had been out of the ring since his last fight on August 3, 2024. He is at weight to lead him to the win over Canelo. The photos of Terence on social media show a fighter that looks around £ 185.
Fans are naturally skeptical of Crawford’s chances of winning the battle with his added size. They argue that to gain weight to make himself artificial in a super-middleweight, does not make a true 168-pound fighter who is able to wage war with a fighter like Canelo or even some of the contenders in the division.

Crawford’s unsafe shortcuts for a solid payday
With 39 days to go, Crawford (41-0, 31 COs) looks vague and bulky with the size he has tackled for the fight against Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 COs). The problem is that Terence cuts the corners and chooses to go directly to the top without first honoring him to the Super Middleweight Division.
Even the size he has on is not going to help him take head shots from a fighter like Canelo. It looks like a wrong approach by Crawford, while quickly adding mass to his frame, taking no tune-ups and jumping straight into a fight against Canelo. He says he is chasing legacy. Fans consider him driven by pure greed and the desire to make money without working for it.
