Bryson Dechambeau says he became weird.
He would practice strange distances, either between strange obstacles, or on top of strange surfaces, or all of the above. He was surprised.
The pointing was practical.
Revelation came Wednesday, forward Liv Golf’s Virginia Eventwhere My Guiea answered some questions in his preparation. A reporter, while pointing out the right documented time of Dechambeau, had wondered how his work ethic was formed, and the great winner twice said he came from a belief that he was not as talented as other players, and that this developed an “obsession” to improve. Sometimes, he said his hands were inflated by the ball stroke.
“I hope I don’t have to do it more,” Dechambeau said, “but that work ethic remains from a child growing up realizing that I was not as good as others.”
However, most string balls have been hit with slightly static. The shooting is not difficult.
But when are they when they are, especially for amateur players? Asked if he had tips on the subject, Dechambeau returned to how it approached the fierce shooting.
Be strange.
The more times you see them, the less they become, good, tough.
“Yes, many are trying a bunch of strange things in practice,” Dechambeau said. “Come out and putting themselves in a difficult situation. I think for amateurs alike, they have to try it. Although they may not execute it or fill it, they still have to try it so they can enjoy their eyes with eyes, I have to swing a little strange this time or do something different.
“The best tips I give them is simply practical in strange, unique situations for perhaps an hour a week, 20 minutes, whatever.
Have fun with him as well, said Dechambeau.
“Make a chopped competition with your amateur friends and throw it into bunker from 50 yards or throw it into a shrub and see if you can go out,” he said. “Things to that extent have fit my game very well. I was allowed to be an artist in my head as much as I am a robot, and I try to swing it as far as possible and as durable as possible.
“I still have to hit the cuts and pulls and hit the strange shots every time at a time, so I think giving myself those opportunities in the bunker, in the shrub, whatever, has only helped in my golf career. For amateurs, I would say you try some strange shots. Spend some fun.”
The tips speak to use as much as possible from the random rounds.
