The WBC Featherweight Champion Stephen Fulton told Bruce Carrington today that he is looking for a ‘bigger’ opponent for his next battle. Fulton (23-1, 8 food) said Carrington (16-0, 9 COs) would have to be ‘patient’ and in turn have to wait.
Carrington’s next opponent? Espinoza
Now that Fulton Carrington has given the bad news, Shu Shu will have to fight his words about the WBO springweight champion Rafael Espinoza Following. Many fans thought he was just blowing smoke to create a sense of bravado when he offered to fight Espinoza next. They saw it as false because Carrington deliberately went in the opposite direction of Espinoza when he chose to fight for the 126-pound WBC-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tus-Tussentage belt.
With the Fulton battle of the table, we will see if Carrington will take the Espinoza battle or return to fight the few well-known opposition on which he set his record of 16-0. If he fights against Espinoza, it is perhaps the end of his dreams to win a world title. The top rank must decide whether it is worth keeping Carrington on board.
Carrington won the WBC-TUs-Entire band last Saturday and beat Mateus Heita (14-1, 9 COs) with a unanimous 12-round decision in the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York. It was an underwhelming performance by ‘Shu Shu’ Carrington, while making a classic Tom and Jerry effort. After the fight, he looked stupid and called Fulton and Espinoza after just a poor performance against the unknown Heita.
Is ‘Shu Shu’ ‘Fool’s Gold’?
The fight showed that Carrington, 28, was not ready to fight the elite competition. This revealed that Top Rank wasted his money to develop him all these years, and carefully matched him to prevent him from losing. Fans have seen that Carrington was already Fool’s Gold With its controversial majority decision over 10 round over Sulaiman Segawa in September last year.
You need to take your own advice, you went on world tour. I got bigger opponents I was going with. Be patient! https://t.co/piujrn8bwx
