Tensions ran up for Brooks Koepka in his rounded round from diseases at Maridoe Golf Club on Friday.
The great winner five times began with a high note, posting a bird in his opening hole (No. 2) during the first round of Liv Golf Dallas. But things went firmly from there, as Koepka tripled both par-4 4 and par-5 7. Then Koepka hit his goal in the par-4 9, and from its appearance, he was not satisfied with the result.
While it looks like the Tee marker flew dangerously near the fans who lined up the Tee box, no injuries were reported. The 9th hole was apparently the last straw for the koepka. After posting a trick, he withdrew, mentioning the disease. Reserve player Luis Carrera was inserted to replace the koepka for the remainder of round 1.
Carrera played the remaining holes in three more. Combined, Koepka and Carrera posted a first round of nine par. The combined result of Carrera and Koepka will only count for the total team, and while Koepka is out for the individual part of the tour, he is still eligible to return to the team’s part.
Smashing Koepka makes him the latest high player to be physically caught by punishing his disappointments in recent months. In US Open, Rory Mcilroy made titles when Well he destroyed a tee marker – and also threw a club. WynDham Clark had to apologize after damaging Oakmont historic closets. Adam Hadwin released a sprayer In Valspar Championship, and Tyrrell Hatton went after a tee marker in Dubai.
For the most part, the good ones look mostly uncontrolled from any reaction of their melting on the course.
“If this is the worst thing I do as human, then, I mean, it’s not that bad,” Hatton said.
