START FITNESS NORTH EAST HARRIER LEAGUE, Alnwick, March 28
Dan Milton, of the S Pack, was first home overall, but in hot pursuit were the leading members of the F Pack.
It was fifth home Carl Avery who led the way, with Morpeth Harrier awarded the fastest time of 34:49.
Heaton’s Chris Larkin, who was first home in the previous round, followed Avery and clocked the second fastest time of 35:18. Behind leading veteran Jarlath McKenna was third fastest in 35:39.
In the women’s race again the S Pack runners crossed the line first with Nicole Burlinson leading the way in 28:56 but fifth home was the overall winner of the previous race, Catriona McDonald.
The Morpeth Harrier led the F Pack with the fastest female time of 27:52. This was ahead of Anna Pigford’s 28:09.
Seventh home overall and just under a minute behind was North East favorite W45 Justina Heslop.

The showground next to the famous Rowing Center saw the final match of the season and it was Swindon Harriers’ Ben Cole who added his fourth league goal of the winter.
Tonbridge’s first claimer led Swindon Harriers in a one-two-three for his second club title, followed by Alex Bampton and Simon Byrne, who finished second last time out.
For the women, it was W35 Victoria Boedeker who took second in a row in the first race as Oxford junior star Melissa Hawtin was second around the 120m mark.

WESTWARD LEAGUE, Redruth, Cornwall, February 28
Josh Rowe won the league race overall, but second place went to Luke Jones, who took the overall league title after six races.
Cornwall AC runner Rowe won by over a minute from a trio of Exeter University runners led by Jones who also duly took team honors both on the day and after the six meet.
For the ladies, it was Annabelle Arnold who led Devon champion Ellen Legate who won the combined women’s, under-20 and under-17 races, but it was Legate’s University of Exeter who continued their team dominance.
