The WBO ordered the heavyweight champion Oleksandr Ulsyk (23-0, 14 COs) to stare at interim band holder Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 COs). The two have a month (30 days) to put together an agreement to average a wallet with the sanction body.
USYK’s choice
It is at USyk (38) to determine if he wants to face Parker or focus on a more profitable game people want to see.
Parker has rebuilt his career with recent victories over an out-of-shaped 310-pound Martin Bole and two older heavyweights, Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang.
The New Zealand Parker was scheduled to challenge IBF champion Daniel Dubois on the 22nd map in Riyadh last month, but Dubois pulled out with a disease. It would have been a very difficult battle for Joseph to win, because Dubois is in his leading and young.
Parker has a boring fighting style and his personality doesn’t seem to be excited about him. If Ulsyk does face him, many fans will pass on this battle if sold on PPV. Without a large undercap, UILSYK PARKER is a flawed battle.
Fans prefer to see WBA, WBC and WBO champion USyk Duboi’s face the undisputed championship rather than Parker. He is seen as the next best heavyweight in the section alongside USKyk.
The two of them would be an excellent struggle. If Ulsyk wins his battle with Parker, he can still encounter Dubois in a rematch if it is a match that interests him.
USYK comes from back-to-back victories over Tyson Fury, and he looks hard to beat. He sent Fury in pension with his recent victory over him on December 21 in their re -broadcast last year.
Parker must make the most of this opportunity, as it took him seven years to get into this position after losing his WBO title to Anthony Joshua in 2018.
