Tim Bradley says Devin Haney will beat Brian Norman Jr. capitulates his bad habits and drops him in their battle in Riyady on 22 November. Eagle-eyed Tim sees vulnerability in 24-year-old Norman Jr. which Devin, with his high ring IQ, had already spotted and trained for.
The lung problem
Bradley studied Norman’s previous fights against Jin Sasaki and Quinton Rank. He saw a lot “reach and lunch” of him causing him to take shots against fighters with less skill than Haney (32-0, 16 KOs).
Tim saw flaws in Norman’s game that he believed would capitulate Devin into bringing him down. That assumes he’s going to sit on his laps. Haney did not throw with power in his last fight against Jose Ramirez on May 2, 2025.
Norman Jr. (28-0, 22 KOs) will defend his WBO welterweight title against Haney in the main event on DAZN PPV at the ANB Arena in Riyadh. The PPV price is $59.99 for US fans and £24.99 in the UK.
“All that reaching and pushing is going to get you caught,” Tim Bradley said of his channel discusses the possibility that Brian Norman Jr. with a shot at Devin Haney can be caught being sloppy.
Randall fights red flags
Tim specifically mentioned Norman’s fight against Quinton Randall on November 16, 2023. Brian Jr. was only 22 at the time and struggled with all the holding that Randall did. It was a younger version of Norman Jr, and not as powerful as he seemed to be lately.
Yet the shots that Norman Jr. beat the then 33-year-old Randall, gave Haney a lot of trouble. They looked as powerful as the left hooks that Ryan Garcia dropped Haney with in their April 2024 fight.
“You have that lead hand down when you jab. They (Devin) plan for it. Haney comes right over the top of it with a right hand. He’s going to meet you. He’s going to have a check hook for you waiting, and he’s going to put you on your back. Haney has skills, IQ and I know he sees this stuff,” Bradley said.
Tom Galm Viewpoint: Excessive fear
It’s a bit too fanciful of a statement by Bradley with his prediction of a beating from Norman. Devin looked too scared deer against Ramirez, too frozen in fear to sit on any of his shots last May. Even when he got comfortable putting some power into his punches late in the fight, he didn’t seem to have any pop in his punches. Haney shot blanks.
