Bradley predicts Boereknockout: “The High Hand Always beat the Low Hand” against Schofield

Tim Bradley says he knew Tevin Farmer was going to be knocked out as soon as his fight with Floyd Schofield started last Saturday night in Anaheim, California.

Farmer’s fatal low wait

Bradley noted that the Southpaw Farmer (33-9-1, 8 COs) was fighting his side with his front hand. This is the worst thing a fighter can do against someone with hand speed and explosive power like Schofield (19-0, 13 COs).

Farmer’s missed adjustments

Interestingly, the farmer did not adjust after being knocked off by a right hand from Schofield. He continued to fight with his front hand and was dropped from a combination seconds later.

Even after the second knockout, Farmer still dropped his guard and he was quickly stopped after being beaten by Schofield with four hard, lightning, fast shots. Bradley was surprised that a fighter with the experience of the farmer would fight the way he did against 22-year-old Schofield.

“I told Y’all of Schofield. I told you he was going to show up and he was going to get out. You put a cat in a corner, he’s going to get out. He chased out. And if you want to ask why farmer is knocked out, it’s simple. The high hand always beats the low hand, ‘Bradley says on his channelTalk about Tevin Farmer’s mistake to hold his right hand at his side against Floyd Schofield.

Farmer should have seen Schofield’s speed when he and his coach watched video of his fights in the past. He must have felt that he could get out of the way of his blows by using the stairs that helped him in his previous fight against William Zepeda.

Still, Tevin must have adjusted the first knockout in the round. There is no excuse for him to continue fighting with both hands at his side.

Bradley on farmer’s mistakes

“I knew Farmer would be knocked out as soon as he came out. I was like ‘he’s about to get caught up. The back hand was so damningly low. It was disrespectful. Crazy. Talk about all this experience you got. You came out with your hands. Lead hand was low. Backhand was low.

‘Easy work. And a Southpaw struggles to see the right hand. Easy work for that explosive velocity and determination of Kid Austin, ‘Bradley said of Farmer.

Farmer has always been on his side with his right, and he could usually get away with it because of his reflexes. He also did not fight fighters with the kind of hand speed and explosive power that Schofield possesses.
