Tim Bradley changed his prediction by preference to WBO Welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr.
Tim says Haney (32-0, 16 COs) can perform a ‘defensive first’ strategy to Norman Jr. (28-0, 22 COs) to carry off spiritually to win a point decision over the scorecards.
Haney’s defensive blueprint
- Movement
- Feints
- Dictate pace
- Control center of the ring
Bradley believes that Haney can keep the action in the middle of the ring and does not allow Norman Jr. Him against the ropes do not fall. The use of movement will prevent Norman Jr. Sit down on his shots to generate power.
“He’s going to fight against a defensive first kind of battle. He is going to try to burn Brian Norman spiritually with the pre -provisions, with the movement, but he will be defensively responsible. He knows that Norman is going to be very strong early, ‘says Tim Bradley on his channelL, talk about the Devin Haney against Brian Norman jr. Fight on November 22.
Norman jr. Do not disappear easily
The problem with Bradley’s analysis is that Norman Jr. In the later rounds did not show signs of tiring. He does not disappear late and loses power like some fighters. If you look at Norman’s fighting against Giovani Santillan and Quinton Randall, he still hit hard in the later rounds. Some of the shots he hit both fighters would be devastating to Haney.
“If Devin Haney wins this battle, he has to be placed on the pound-by-pound list. He joins Shakur Stevenson with three belts in three weight classes,” says Bradley.
Devin must get involved in impressing judges
For Haney to win, he will have to participate against Norman Jr. because he will not win a decision by running around like against Jose Ramirez on the Riyadh Seadon card earlier this year on May 2. Norman jr. Will chase him and land big shots to impress the judges.
It will be impossible for Haney to win a decision as he moves around, throws Jabs and holds regularly. This is the strategy Devin used in his two battles against George Kambosos Jr., and fights against Regis Prograis and Jose Ramirez. Those guys are not in the same league power as Norman Jr.
The judges will be more impressed with the hard bumps that Norman lands, and they will give him every round. It is assumed that Haney does not crumble in the fight at some point.
