KTM has signed Phil MaronToprak Razgatlioglu, the former chief of staff, will work with Binder next year, so it’s not like he’s completely an afterthought.

But if the team is building towards their French rider, it is hard to hope for a significant improvement from the South African. Binder can benefit from exploring the market.

His stock is currently at an all-time low, but this is still a driver with two premier-class wins and 11 podiums, which makes him an attractive option.

Maverick Vinales is a threat to Brad Binder’s KTM seat.

Last year in KTM considered downgrading Binder to Tech3 in a swap with Vinales.. The back injury ruined the plan, but this is another warning sign.

The competition Vinales reportedly bought a large amount of shares in KTM in the wake of the financial crisis earlier this year. This may have helped him bond with the new team immediately.

If Vinales is fully fit by the start of 2026, he clearly represents the biggest immediate threat to Binder.
