The former 140 pound champion, Regrais (30-3, 24 COs), struggled with an exciting unanimous 10-round decision over former IBF Super Featherweight Champion Joseph ‘Jo Jo’ Diaz (34-8-1, 15 COs) in a welterweight fight in their main support fight Saturday night at the University of Illinois, Chicago.

Diaz hurts early
A motivated Diaz jr. Went out on his feet in the first round after hurt him on the side of the head with a left hook. He then came across the harassed fighter of New Orleans and hit him with anything but the kitchen sink, but could not finish the work. After the round ended, Prograis returned to his corner.
The scores were 98-92, 96-94 and 96-94.
Diaz elicited two in similar problems in round after nailing him with a short right hand on the inside. Again, he landed a barrage of bumps at the head of Regis.
Prograis fought in rounds three and four things and used his stitch and left straight to make Diaz better. Fourth, Joseph sustained a cut to the left of his eye from a clash of heads on the inside.
After-Fight programs response
“It was like when the jitters get into a fight, then you are hit with the first one afterwards – and then it’s a fight,” Prograis said. “I knew it would be a fight with him. I went to my corner and they said, ‘Listen, just keep your stitch out. “And that’s what I did.
Regis’s chin concern
Prograis should not be happy about his victory because it was his third fight in a row in which he was injured by a non-puncher. Former featherweight Diaz repeatedly showed by the former featherweight that she knew was not even.
