WBO featherweight champion Rafael Espinoza (27-0, 23 CO’s) used his volume punch to overwhelm the much shorter challenger Edward Vazquez (17-3, 4 COs) to achieve a technical knockout in the seventh round in their most important support adjustment in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

The 6’1 ″ Espinoza threw nearly 100 strokes per round, making it difficult for the 5’7 ″ Vazquez to get to him to land his own shots. It was a pure firepower of Espinoza, while cutting off cuts, body shots and hooks, which forced Vazquez to eat it.
By the fourth round, Vazquez’s nose was bleeding and his face was badly swollen. He was injured in that round and apparently stopped almost in the last seconds by a storm storm of Espinoza. It was a similar situation in round five.
Espinoza hurt Vazquez with a body shot and marked him at random while pitching against the ropes. Referee Harvey Dock warned Vazquez after fifth that he needed to show him to trouble, or he would stop the fight.
In the seventh place, Rafael went for the finish and hurt Vazquez with a left hand to the city center. The severely hurt Vazuez backed up the ropes for one last stance. Espinoza then put his wounded opponent with the machine and threw on a quick firearm from the left and left referee Harvey Dock without any choice but to blow it off. The time of the downtime was at 1:47 of the round.
