Boxing Results: Mikaela Mayer Outworks Sandy Ryan

Las Vegas, Nevada-Mikaela Mayer (21-2, 5 COs) wants to be considered one of the best in women’s box. She has shown that she is a true champion by defeating former WBO welterweight champion Sandy Ryan (7-3-1, 3 COs) and making the first successful defense of said title. Mayer delivered a career in front of a sold-out crowd in the Bleaulive Theater in the Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

After suffering two too many close championship losses from Alycia Baumgardner and Natasha Jonas, and then in September last year pressed a victory in the majority against Sandy, Mikaela announced that she would try to win this time to win convincingly and would have no doubt about who the boxer was.

In the first game, Mayer Ryan exceeded with only a punch, 186 to 185, but in the rematch she exceeded herself with a larger margin, 178 to 146. He landed another 40 power stations, she did so by controlling the rate of the fight and the application of pressure.

Sandy mistakenly changed her strategy for this game and chose to box on the outside using lateral movement. Her output decreased significantly from the first game and was consequently less effective. Her best round was the 8th, when she threw the most (57) and (24) ended up her best bumps of the fight. Sandy did better when she stayed in the bag (Compubox) as in the first game.

After her victory, Mikaela said she intended to check and rule the unbeaten IBF, WBA and WBC welterweight champion Lauren Price to become the undisputed champion. This would erect a superfight between two highly competent boxers. Mikaela said of her third game as welterweight: ‘I needed a long time to go to welterweight. So, when I finally did, it just took a good, good year and a half of hard work. This is where I am comfortable, and that was where I should have been. ‘ She seems to have been greatly improved among the new team trainers Kofi Jantuah and Al Mitchell. She is now a fight away from the division.

Although Sandy Mayer’s long -time coach Kay Koroma had in her corner for the re -broadcast, she received no tactical advantage. Kay sat for the first fight out of respect for Mikaela, but was present this time. During the fight week, Sandy threw oral Jabs to Mikaela and mocked her and said that she would have Kay in her corner, and that she was no longer in her. Mayer’s victory has rested all the drama and lead of the first game and all the bad blood left. There were only two women, a goat ring and championship. Mikaela

Gained the upper hand and showed that she could compete with any welter weight and now hope to hold the division against the unbeaten champion she is now destined.
