Super-featherweight Maliek Montgomery (20-1, 18 COs) was upset by Jeremy Hill (22-3-1, 13 COs), and lost a unanimous ten-round decision on Saturday night in the Sycuan Resort & Casino in El Cajon, California.
In the first three rounds, Montgomery mainly exceeded the hill to the body. In the final seconds of the fourth round, Montgomery hurt Hill with a body shot.
Hill still had a good round in the sixth round and went from Orthodox to Southpaw and counteracted Montgomery, which kept the pressure on him. Hill landed a combination of four punch in the seventh round in the first minute with another good round. In the eighth round it went back and forth.


Montgomery is constantly moving forward in the ninth round and is counteracted by Hill. It was another near round won by Hill. The tenth and last round was an overall Slugfest, the best round of the fight. Hill Outlanded Montgomery.
Scores were 97-93, 97-93 and 98-92. Rudy Barragan was the referee.
In the Co-Main event, the lightweight Kurt ‘Scoob’ Scoby, 16-1 (14), Cesar ‘Ras Tas Tas’ Villarraga, 11-12-1 (5), stopped at about 02:14 of the fifth round of a scheduled eight rounds.
In the second round, Scoby landed a left hook in the final seconds. He followed up with another left hand on the chin and downward Cesar ‘Ras Tas’ Villarraga went for an 8 counts of referee Rudy Barragan when the round ended. Scoby ends up pushing a flurry in the fifth round without return, and referee Barragan brought a standby.
Super Middleweight Southpaw Donke ‘Mr. Ko ‘Layne, 7-0 (6), defeated Southpaw Malik Calhoun, 3-3-1 (2), with a unanimous six-round decision.
In the first four rounds, Layne had a slight lead. In the fifth round, Layne sustained a cut to the left eyebrow. It was close in the sixth and final round, with Calhoun having a lead.
The scores were 58-56, 58-56 and 59-55. David Sullivan was the referee.
Bantam weight Richard Fernandez Jr., 3-0 (2), knocked out Garret Palmer, 0-2) at 1:26 of the first round of a scheduled four rounds.
In the first rounds first 30 seconds, a combination of Fernandez on the Ken Palmer dropped for an 8 scores of referee Chris Leamon. A minute round, a left hook to chin of Fernandez and down Palmer went for an 8 score again. A flurry of Fernandez without return caused Ref Leamon to averted it.
