In the main event, returning to the ring after nineteen years at age 58, former world heavyweight champion “Iron” Mike Tyson lost an 8-round decision to Jake Paul on Friday at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas, on NETFLIX before 72,300 attendees.
In the Co-Main Event, former Olympic gold medalist, current WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, and IBO Super Lightweight Champion Katie Taylor won a thrilling close decision over IBO, WBA, and WBO Featherweight Champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano the fans for the most part disagreed.
Mike Tyson, 50-7 (44) lost to Jake Paul, 11-1 (7) by way of Cleveland, Ohio, over 8×2 rounds.
In the first round, just over a minute into the fight, Tyson rocked Paul with a right to the chin that put him on the defensive, grabbing Tyson in a hurry. With half a minute left, Paul landed his best punch of the round, right on Tyson’s chin. In the second round, Tyson continued to come forward, backing Paul throughout the round and landing more punches in a round of few punches.
In the third round, Tyson came out and threw bombs with few landing. A minute into the round, Paul landed several hard jabs that hurt Tyson. Paul had a big round that kept Tyson off balance. In the fourth round, Tyson is still having problems with his mouthpiece as Paul keeps that jab in his face. In the final minute, Tyson rarely got through a punch as he would move away from Paul who had another good round.
In the fifth round, Tyson landed a left hook on Paul’s chin near the end of a minute. He landed soon after when Paul landed an overhand right on the chin in the last thirty seconds. In the sixth round, Paul used his jab and didn’t throw any big punches, while Tyson threw a few punches. In the last minute, the fans wanted more action.
In the seventh round, Tyson started throwing more punches in the first minute than in previous rounds. In the final minute, Paul Tyson landed right up to the bell. In the eighth and final round, Paul had his way. In the final seconds, Paul stopped and bowed his head in honor of Tyson acknowledging it.

In the Co-Main Event in a rematch (Taylor won a split decision over featherweight champion Serrano), former Olympic gold medalist, current WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, and IBO Super Lightweight Champion Katie Taylor, 24-1 ( 6) fight to an exciting close decision over IBO, WBO, WBA Feather champion, southpaw Amanda ‘The Real Deal’ Serrano, 47-3-1 (31) over 10×2 rounds.
In the first round, in the final seconds, an overhand from Serrano on the chin hurt Taylor and on shaky legs. In the second round, Taylor, coming back after a year, came back well, landing punches and tying up Serrano enough to pin Serrano and take the round.
In the third round, Serrano outworked Taylor, who came back in the final seconds. In the last minute of four rounds, a clash of heads caused a cut on Serrano’s right eyebrow.
In the fifth round, Taylor came back and won the round. In the sixth round with a minute remaining, a clash of heads caused referee Jon Schorle to call in the ring doctor due to the cut on Serrano’s left eyebrow. In the seventh round, Taylor landed good round-landing combinations on Serrano’s chin.
Schorle warned Taylor for using her head. Near the end of the round, he took a point from Taylor that didn’t seem like a very good call.
In the ninth round the war continued, with the Referee intervening prematurely several times. It was a good round for Taylor.
In the tenth and final round, Taylor had a big last minute to take the round as Serrano’s blood smeared face showed just how tough a fight it was. Taylor may not have done enough to win the fight because he lost a point earlier. Taylor suffered a cut to the right eyelid at the end.
The scores were 95-94 by all three judges.
WBC Interim World Welterweight Champion Mario ‘El Azteca’ Barrios, 29-2-1 (18), finished in a thrilling split draw with Abel Ramos, 28-6-3 (22) over 12 rounds, for the WBC World -title.
In the first round, Barrios controlled it with his jab. Midway through the round, Barrios landed a right to the chin that caught the knees of Ramos (who was in his second title fight after losing a split decision to Yordenis Ugas for the vacant WBA title) whose right glove might have been on the canvas touched, bowed down. called a knockdown by referee Afu. In the second round, the taller (4”) Barrios continued to get his way. In the final seconds, a left hook, followed by a right from Barrios on the chin and down, Ramos (fifth time in career), who immediately got up and took an 8 count from referee Hector Afu.
In the third round, Ramos recovered well from the knockdown, but Barrios won the round. In the fourth round, Barrios continued to take out Ramos, who finished with a four-punch combination against Barrios, but suffered a small cut to his left eyebrow.
In the sixth round, halfway through, Ramos suddenly got a lead and followed right to the chin of Barrios, who on the way down was hit with a left for an 8 count from referee Afu. Barrios was on shaky legs after the bell. In the seventh round, Ramos controlled while Barrios recovered well.
In the eighth round, Ramos backed Barrios the entire round and outboxed him. At the ninth round’s halfway point, Ramos drew blood from the nose of Barrios and took another round. In the tenth round, after a minute, Barrios drew blood from Ramos’ nose. A good round for Ramos.
In the eleventh round, Barrios’ face was swollen, but he cut Ramos halfway under the left eye and took the round. In the twelfth and final round of an outstanding fight, Barrios managed to take another close round as Ramos’ left eye closed close.
Scores 114-112 Ramos, 116-110 Barrios, 113-113 draw.
Middle Neeraj Goyat, 19-4-2 (8), easily defeated, debuts Whindersson Nines, 0-1 (0), over six rounds.
In the first round, with hands at his side, Goyat overpowered Nines, who made his bow. With thirty seconds left, Goyat rocked Nines with a right to the chin. Nunes, whose nose has been very red since the end of the first minute, landed a few punches. In the second round, Nunes landed his first solid punch, a right uppercut to Goyat’s chin. Goyat, now for the most part, continued our work Nines, which was consistently on the receiving end.
In the third round, Goyat landed a flurry of punches and drove Nunes across the ring into a corner. In the final seconds, Nunes landed a double left hook to the body, hurting Goyat. In the fourth round, Goyat would land half a dozen punches without returning in the first minute.
In the fifth round, Goyat continued to land flurries against the much more inexperienced Nunes. In the final minute of the sixth and final round, it was all Goyat landing punch after punch, supporting Nunes throughout the round.

Former WBC Silver Super Middle Champion Shadasia ‘The Sweet Terminator’ Green, 15-1 (11) won a split decision over Melinda ‘The Whip’ Watpool, 7-1 (2) over 10×2 rounds for vacant WBO World Super Middle title.
In the first four rounds, Green landed from Watpool who added eight pounds for this fight. In the eighth round, Watpool had her best round. In the fifth and sixth, Green continued to take it to Watpool.
In the ninth round, Watpool again did well in a close round that took it. In the tenth and final round, Green looked ahead and Watpool knew it was the aggressor.

Lightweight ‘Prince’ Lucas Bahdi, 18-0 (15), won a majority decision over Armando ‘La Furia del Quadraro, Casamonica, 14-1 (3) via a ten-round decision.
In the first two rounds, Casamonica was the aggressor, but was countered by Bahdi in close rounds. In the third and fourth rounds, Bahdi stood his ground in excellent Casamonica.
In the sixth round, Casamonica came back well. In the seventh through ninth rounds, Bahdi was out to land Casamonica. In the tenth and final round it was close, with both having their moments.

Feather Bruce ‘Chu Chu’ Carrington, 14-0 (8), defeated Dana Coolwell, 13-3 (8) over eight rounds.
In the fourth round, Carrington scored a takedown and received an 8 count from referee Jon Schorle. In the eighth round, Carrington scored his second takedown and received an 8 count from referee Schorle.
The scores were all 80-72.
