Heavyweight 2016 Olympic silver medalist Joe ‘Juggernaut’ Joyce lost a unanimous 10 round decision on Saturday night to turn El Animal ‘Hrgovic into the CO-Live Arena in Manchester, England.
In the first two rounds, it was clear that they did not look like their former self. HRGOVIC got more bumps, causing a little pofrofe around the left eye of Joyce, mostly swinging wildly in the air. In the third round, a right of Joyce opened a cut to the left eyebrow of Hrgovic.
In the fifth round, Joyce ended up a left hand, which caused a cut on Hrgovic’s right eyebrow.
In the sixth and seventh rounds, it seemed as if Joyce had achieved his ‘second win’, with more bumps than in any previous rounds. In the eighth round, Hrgovic did enough to take the round.
A minute after the ninth around a right of Hrgovic on the chin, the knees of Joyce suffered. In the tenth and last round, both had their moments.
The scores were 97-93, 96-95 and 98-92. John Latham was the referee.
In the co-function, English heavyweight champion David ‘Big D’ Adelye, 14-1 (13) scored a few Knockdowns and stopped the IBO Int’l champion Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva, 8-2 (5) at 0:55 of the sixth round to win the vacant BBBOFC-British heavyweight title.
In the first round, the first of eight clinics took place after 10 seconds. In the second round there were eight clinic and warnings by referee Ron Kearney. In the final seconds, Adelye ends up the first solid punch, a left hook to the chin.
In the third round there were only five clinical. Adelye took another round and landed several strokes. In the fourth round there was back to eight clinic, with TKV taking the round. In the fourth, the score of Clinches stops, TKV won a near round. It was more the same in the fifth round.
In the sixth round, while both were in a clinic, referee Kearney said: ‘Break’. Adelye landed a left hook to the chin, and went down to an 8 scores. When he got up, Adelye walked behind him and recorded a second knockout with another left hook to the chin and ended the match.
Commonwealth Boxing Council Super Lightweight Champion Jack ‘The Demolition Man’ Rafferty, 26-0 (17) stopped Southpaw Cory O’Regan, 14-1 (3) at 2:26 of the fifth round of a scheduled 12 rounds.
In the first round, with only one 8 in his last fight and no opponents with a winning record, it’s a step for O’Regan. O’Regan moves from side to side and uses a stitch, while rostering barely lands a punch in the first two rounds.
In the third round, O’Regan started for a few minutes after the chin of Rafferty land until the final seconds when Rafferty ended up his first power punch, dropped O’Regan and pulled blood out of his nose for an 8 score of referee Darren Sargensin.
In the fourth round, O’Regan easily won and hit faster than Rafferty, which looked very slow to respond. In the fifth round, Rafferty went to the body and hurt O’Regan with a right to the body after a minute. O’Regan came back and missed him until the corner suddenly stopped, to the surprise of many people.
Super lightweight Khaleel ‘The Real Deal’ Majid, 15-0 (4) won a unanimous 10-round decision over ‘Super’ Alex Murphy, 13-1) in an action fight.
In the second round, Majid landed many rights to Murphy’s chin. In the third and fourth rounds, Murphy came back well to surpass Majid. With encouragement of his angle in the fifth round, Majid Beser began to be busy in an even round with Murphy.
In the sixth, another near round. Fortunately for Majid, Murphy is not a good puncher because he is usually surpassed. The seventh round was the best to this point, and both made everything come out in a close round.
In the eighth and ninth rounds, Majid, which is in low, works Murphy’s body, but is caught in an action round by the capital letters on the chin. In the tenth and last round, with the battle for grabbing, both had their moments, with Murphy having a cut on his left eyebrow. A draw would not hurt any of the fighter.
The scores were 97-94, 96-94 and 96-95. John Latham was the referee.
Heavyweight Olympic delicious Orie, 1-0) defeated Milos-Veletic, 3-8 (1) with a decision of four round points. Referee Steve Gray scored it 40-36.
In the first three rounds, it was all landing rights in Orie, as Veletic was on defense, and even dropped his hands in third place. In the fourth and final round, after getting away with pushing behind the head without a warning from referee Steve Gray, Orie could not impress in his debut.
Super Featherweight Southpaw ‘Sugar Boy Roy’ Royston Barney-Smith, 14-0 (7) beat Southpaw Cesar Ignacio Paredes, 18-17-1 (5), with an eight round decision.
In the second round, Paredes cut halfway through the round on the bridge of his nose. In the fourth round, the cut on the nose of Paredes caused the round began. Barney-Smith seems to be satisfied with Outland Paredes.
In the seventh round, Paredes threw more strokes for half a round than before. Then Barney-Smith walked up the pace, looking for a downtime due to the cut. In the eighth and final round, Barney-Smith took another flawed round.
Referee Darren Sargensin scored it 80-72.
Super Middle Weight, the three-time national champion ‘Rambo’ Ramtin Musah (1-0), beat Robbie ‘The Camden Caretaker’ Chapman (13-49-9 (2) by a four-round decision.
In the first round box of Musah well. In the second round, Chapman made it interesting and landed some perpendicular, although he was surpassed. In the third round, Musah landed a left hook to the body after a minute and received the attention of Chapman. In the fourth and final round, Chapman showed in a loss effort to the joy of the crowd.
Welterweight Southpaw Mark Chamberlain, 17-1 (12), beat Miguel Angel Scaringi, 8-5 (3) with an eight round decision.
In the first three rounds, Chamberlain could pass, except for perpendicular to Scaringi who occasionally landed on his chin. In the fourth rounds final thirty seconds, an advantage of Southpaw Chamberlain on the chin took a few steps back.
In the sixth round, Chamberlain sustained a Nick over his left eyebrow. Referee Steve Gray warned him for using his forearm. In the eighth and final round, Chamberlain seemed pleased to get the round in since his last battle about seven months ago, which made the distance in a loss effort.
Referee Gray recorded it 80-72.
Featherweight Southpaw Nelson ‘The Sexy One’ Birchall, 8-0 (5) knocked out Rodrigo Matias areco, 5-14-2), #130, from Marcos Paz at 1:31 of the first round of a scheduled six rounds.
In the first round, Birchall took it to the body of Areeco and eventually went through Aro halfway with a right to the body and then the chin. Areeco gets up and then back to a knee that caused referee Darren Sargeinson to come to a standstill as he got up.
The featherweight Alfie Middlemiss (3-0) defeated Alexander Morales (6-12-5 (2) with a four-round decision.
In the first two rounds, Middlemiss moved well, with an effective stitch against Morales, which always came forward. He had a little Nick of Morales’ left heel to his right eyebrow. In the next two rounds it continued, with Middlemiss with a drop of blood on the side of his face and a standstill.
Referee Steve Gray scored it 40-37.
Two-time national champion Bantam Louie Szeto, 1-0) came off the canvas to defeat Nabil Ahmed, 2-41-3) by a close decision on four decisions.
In the second round, halfway through after taking the first round, Szeto was dropped to a right on the chin of Ahmed for an 8 scores of referee Darren Sargensin. He came back well. In the fourth and final round, Szeto, who returned third, needed the final round due to the knockout. He did well in a near round, because Ahmed never stopped throwing.
Referee Sargensin scored it 38-37.
