Boxing results: Hamzah Sheeraz delivers a crushing fifth round knock against Edgar Berlanga

Hamzah Sheeraz (22-0-1, 18 cost) Edgar ‘The chosen one’ Berlanga (23-2, 18 COs) at 0:17 of the fifth round in the main event at a WBC Super Middle Weight Title Eliminator stopped at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

In the last minute of the fourth round, a combination of Sheeraz Berlanga dropped. He managed to defeat the spade of referee David Fields when a right hook of Sheeraz Berlanga dropped again while the bell sounded. In the fifth round, Sheeraz immediately went behind Berlanga and dropped him as refereeing fields that stopped.

WBC World Lightweight Champion Shakur Stevenson (24-0, 11 COs) previously beaten unbeaten WBC-TUs-Entire lightweight champion William ‘Camaron’ Zepeda (33-1, 27 COs) by a unanimous 12-round decision.

In a now first round, Zepeda worked the body of Stevenson, which has a better hand speed but does not have enough power to keep Zepeda off. In the second and third rounds, Stevenson came back well, with everyone who had their moments, but Stevenson’s hand speed won him the rounds.

The fourth through sixth place, that was that Stevenson hit the better of the harder Zepeda with his hand speed and counteracted him well.

In the seventh round, Zepeda emerged and the body worked while Stevenson went to the head. With a minute left, Zepeda ended up a combination of four punch just to return to him Stevenson. From the eighth to the tithing, Stevenson Zepeda counteracted and took all three rounds.

In the eleventh round, Stevenson Zepeda tied in the first minute in one of the first clinic of the fight. Stevenson continued to choose his places when Zepeda continued to come forward and won another round. In the twelfth and final round, it was all Stevenson, although Zepeda never stopped coming forward.

The scores were 118-110, 118-110 and 119-109. Ricky Gonzalez was the referee.

The WBC World Super Lightweight Champ Southpaw Alberto Puello (24-1, 10 COs) lost a 12-round majority decision to former IBF champion Subriel Matias (23-2, 22).

In the first two rounds, it was all that Puello ended up at random when Matias walked to him. In the third and fourth rounds, Matias returned well enough to take both rounds. In the fifth and sixth rounds, Matias went to the head and body while Puello worked the body in a few close rounds.

In the seventh round, Matias had a large part of the round of Puello against the ropes and worked the body. In the eighth round, Matias continued to work the body as Puello counteracted, but not enough to win the round. The fight even looks like eight rounds.

In the ninth and tenth rounds, it was all Matias who picked up Puello for most of the round, to the body. In the eleventh round, Puello opposed well enough to take the round. In the twelfth and final round, Matias was cut halfway through the round on the right eyebrow. He kept coming forward and Puello mostly drove backwards. The fight can go to someone at the bell.

The scores were 115-113, 115-113 and 114-114. Eric Dali was the referee.

Light heavyweight David Morrell (12-1, 9 COs) won a 10-round split decision on Imam Khataev (10-1, 9 COs).

In the final seconds of the first round, Khataev Morrell shook with a right on the chin. In the second round there was swelling under the left eye of Morell. In the last minute, Khataev was cut on the right eyebrow of Morell. In the third round, Khatav recorded to the head and body of Morrell, with a 2-1 lead in rounds.

In the fifth round’s last 20 seconds, Khataev Morrell dropped a right to the chin for an 8 score of referee Eddie Claudio. In the sixth round, Morrell came back well when Khataev started to look tired. In the seventh round, it went back and forth in a near round. In the eighth round, Morrell started half a round quickly before Khataev took over in another round to call.

In the ninth round, both had their moments, while Morrell Khatav with a right of the top cut with just over a minute left. Khatev came back and landed half a dozen bumps. Morell came back with four of his own. In the tenth and last round, Khatev started the first minute quickly before Morell took over, and Khatev hit the chin with a right with a minute left to take the round

The scores were 98-96 and 95-94 for Morrell, and 95-94 for Khataev.

2021 Olympic gold medal lightweight Southpaw Reito Tsutsumi (2-0, 1 ko) stops Michael ‘The Puerto Rican’ Ruiz (2-8-1) at 0:28 of the second round of a scheduled four rounds.

In the first round, Tsutsumi dropped Ruiz for an 8 scores by referee Eric Dali with a right to the body with a minute left. Again, he dropped Ruiz with a body shot in the final seconds. In the second round, Tsutsumi again dropped Ruiz with a straight left on the chin. Forcing referee Dali to blow it off.
