This junior-welterweight was one of those rare opportunities in which the ring walk was longer than the real fight. Boxers have a popular saying that they are not paid for overtime, and on Saturday night, Vargas did the work within 42 seconds.
In the opening round of the competition, Emiliano Vargas started the match by changing the levels. With 2:27 left to go in the 1st round, Espinoza throws a stitch, but Vargas performed a perfect draw clothing as he continued to land a devastating right hand over the top.
The hard right hand sent Alexander Espinoza to the canvas. Espinoza was very determined when he made multiple efforts to rise because his thoughts were the task, but his body was not prepared.
While Espinoza was counted out, 21-year-old Emiliano “El General” Vargas (15-0, 13 COs) collected his sixth direct knockout victory.
During his interview after the fight, Vargas said he was ready for an upgrade as it was related to his level of opponents.
The match was scheduled for 8-round, but Emiliano Vargas only needed 42 seconds to make a definite statement. Vargas ended the game early, but he said he was willing to go on top of the distance.
“I was ready for 15 rounds tonight. You know that it is a blessing that I had to do it so quickly. However, they do not pay for overtime, so I had to manage it quickly. But as I said, I’m ready for the top elite competition. My skills will continue to show through. ‘
