Devin Haney (32-0, 15 CO’s) couldn’t make an impression with his wide 12-round victory over Jose Ramirez (32-3, 18 COs) in their fight Saturday night at the Fatal Fury card at Times Square in New York. The scores were 119-109, 119-109 and 118-110.
Haney loved all night, threw a few shots and tied the slow Ramire if he got close. There was almost no action, because Devin didn’t want to stand and fight. With Ramirez, he is the type that a stationary opponent needs to land. Haney was too shocked to compel him.
Haney came into the fight and needed a win to close himself in October for a profitable re -broadcast with Ryan Garcia. He did his part with his victory over Ramirez, but Turki Alalshikh has to reconsider his plans to do so. If Devin is going to fight like tonight, it will make fans angry.
