Lightweight contender Floyd Schofield (19-0, 13 food) completely destroyed Tevin Farmer (33-9-1, 8 COs) on Saturday night by a first technical knockout in their scheduled undercad fight of ten round in the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Farmer unprepared on Schofield Power
Farmer, 36, came out of the blocks that looked slow and bended forward with his jaw and forward in front of the young Power Puncher Schofield. Former IBF Super Featherweight Champion Farmer looked unprepared, and he paid the price.
Schofield unleashed a straight right that hit the farmer on the canvas. When Tevin got up, he looked faded and let the referee know that he was in order. He wasn’t. Schofield chased him like a hungry shark and connected with three large shots to put the farmer down for a second time.
Surprisingly, referee Gerald White allowed the fight to continue, despite the fact that the farmer was not spiritually present. Schofield then marked him with three bleeding bumps and left the referee no choice but to stop the competition. The time was at 1:18 of round one.
