IBF USBA Heavy Champ Brandon ‘OJ Bam’ Moore (19-1 (10) easily defeated Deandre ‘Big’ Savage (10-1-1) with a unanimous decision of 10 round Friday at the Fox Theater, Detroit, Michigan.
In the first three rounds, the higher (3 “) Moore used an effective stitch to take all the rounds Savage, with 10 knockouts, never went three rounds. In the fourth through the sixth rounds, Moore landed hard rights to the chin of Savage, which took them well.
In the seventh round, Savage finally started landing a few left brackets. With twenty seconds left, Moore ended up a right to Ken of Savage for an 8 scores of referee Ansel Stewart.
In the ninth round, it was all Moore looking for a downtime. In the tenth and last round, Moore continued to exclude Savage and used his stitch for the most part, except to land a solid right to the chin with a minute left. For the last two rounds, Savage Band hung on his right glove that the referee never noticed.
The scores were 100-89, 10.0-89 and 99-90.
In the co-main event, Olivia Curry (7-2-2 (2) finished in a majority of ten round with former Australian champion Kaye Scott (4-1-1) for the vacant WBC and WBA female mid-weight titles. Scott got a voice and looked like he had a lead.
In the first round, it was Scott who had 100 amateur fights (47-26, according to Boxrec), Curry Battering Curry. In the second round, Scott controlled until the last minute when Curry landed well to the body. In the third round’s center, Curry’s left eyebrow was cut, possibly of a clash of heads, but referee Ben Rodriguez calls it a punch.
In the fourth through the seventh rounds, it was nearby, with both their moments in an everyday battle. In the eighth round, Scott took the first half with Curry taking the remaining round.
In the ninth round, Curry suffered a lump on her forehead. It was another action round. In the tenth and last round, Scott draws blood from the nose of Curry, which continues to fight in another ranking.
The scores were 98-92 Scott, 95-95 and 95-95.
Super Middeeight Develle ‘Cadilac’ Smith (14-0 (9) Stop Janer Gonzalez (24-9-1 (20) at 2:59 of the second round of a scheduled eight rounds.
In the first round, Smith, from the Kronk gymnasium, had a good round against Gonzalez, which came up in weight. In the last minute of the second round, Smith Gonzalez dropped a right on the chin for a score by referee Ansel Stewart, who barely hit the score. In the final seconds, Smith dropped Gonzalez again, taking the score on his knee.
Heavy Southpaw Sardius Simmons (4-0 (2) beat the late Sub Tough Lemir ‘Bang’ Isom-Racey (5-7 (3) by a unanimous six-round decision.
In the first two rounds, Simmons Isom-Riley surpassed, which took a good punch. In the last minute of the fourth round, Simmons landed half a dozen unanswered bumps. In the final seconds, it was that Isom-Riley turned things around, while Simmons supported a corner at the clock.
In the fifth round of Midway Point, Simmons Isom-Riley attracted an edge on the chin. Isom-Riley seems to be coming back again and again, although he loses all five rounds. In the sixth and final round, it was Isom-Riley who had his best round and possibly won it in a close round.
The scores were 58-56, 58-56 and 59-55. Ben Rodriguez was the referee.
The light heavyweight Kahmel defeated (4-0 (3) Christian Juresic (2-2) with a six-round decision.
