IBO World Featherweight Champion Anthony ‘Anto’ Cacace (24-1, 9 costs) stopped from the ninth round in the Carpoint Arena in Nottingham, England, at 2:15 of the ninth round on Saturday night at 2:15.
In the eighth round, Wood snapped up the nose of the Cacace and cut him on his right cheek with an elbow. The shot seems to motivate Cacace, as he came back strongly in the last 30 seconds of the round to lift wood with repeated head clips. When the round ended, Wood had the appearance of a demoralized fighter. You can see from his face that he knew he had met his match.
In the ninth round, Cacace ended up a spate of bumps that ended with a left hook to the chin and a very sore wood in the ropes. The ropes prevented wood from falling because it would have beaten on the deck if they did not weaken him.
Referee Lathan certainly has a knockout, which gave him an 8 score. When the action resumed, Cacace landed a hard left hook to Wood’s city center and hurt him. Wood turned around and started running over the ring. At this point, Wood’s corner throws the towel to stop the competition. They saw enough and did not want their fighter to be finished by Cacace. The time of the downtime was at 2:15 of round nine. t.
In the co-function, former British, Ebu and IBO featherweight champion Liam Davies, 17-1 (8), the Olympic Kurt Walker, 12-1 (2), defeated by a unanimous 12 round decision to win the vacant IBF International Featherweight title.
In the first round, Walker Davies counteracted well. In the second by the fifth rounds, Davies returned well with an effective stitch, pulled blood from the nose and a belt under Walker’s right eye in the fifth round.
From the sixth to the tenth round, Davies dominated against the less experienced Walker. In the twelfth and final round, Walker tried his best, but surpassed by Davies.
The scores were 117-111, 116-113 and 118-112. Steve Gray was the referee.
WBA Int’l Light Heavyweight Champion Ezra ‘The Cannon’ Taylor, 12-0 (8) won a running unanimous decision of 10 round over Troy Jones, 12-1 (4).
In the first three rounds, Jones emerged, and Taylor, the counter-puncher, had a slight lead. In the fourth round, Taylor opened and drew blood from Jones nose. In the sixth round, referee Bob Williams took a point of Jones to use his forearm. Taylor continues to dominate.
In the last minute of the eighth round, Taylor Jones shook the chin with a left hook. In the ninth round’s final seconds, Taylor Jones shocked with the last punch, a right on the chin. In the tenth and last round, Taylor tried to end it with Jones being detained.
The scores were 97-94, 100-90 and 99-91.
Welterweight former English and WBO Ebu champion Owen ‘The Worcester Warrior’ Cooper, 11-1 (4), defeated former IBO Intercontinental champion Chris ‘2slick’ Congo, 17-3 (7), by an action-packed 10-round.
Through three rounds, the shorter Cooper used an effective stitch while the Congo countered well. In the fifth round, the larger Congo landed throughout the right in the chin of Cooper.
In the sixth and seventh rounds, Cooper used an attack with two fists, which were only counteracted on occasions. In the ninth round, although he won it, Cooper bleed out of the mouth. It was a war in the tenth and final round with everyone on the line. Congo’s nozzle went out for the second time in the last minute.
Referee Kevin Parker scored it 96-94.
Super lightweight Sam Noakes, 17-0 (15), stopped Patrik ‘Rocky’ Balaz, 13-5-1 (5) at 2:17 of the third round of an 8-round competition.
In the third round, Noakes ended up a right to the chin, and down Balaz went to the Earl of referee Chris Dean.
Heavy Lewis Williams, 2-0 (1), defeated Victar Chvarkou, 5-23 (3), with a six-round points decision.
Referee Kevin Parker recorded 60-54.
Super lightweight Huey Malone, 1-0 (0) beat Jaykub Lazkowski, 5-36-1 (3) with a six-round points decision.
Referee Chris Dean recorded it 60-54.
Featherweight 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Charlie Senior (1-0) defeated Cesar ‘Zurdo’ Ignacio Paredes (18-18-1 (5) with a decision of six round. The referee Chris Dean recorded it 59-54.
In the second round, senior paredes dropped for an 8 scores by referee Chris Dean.
The featherweight Nico Livars, 7-0-1 (1), beat Darwing Martinez, 8-31-2 (6), with a six-round decision. Referee Kevin Parker recorded it 60-55.
Middle-Joe Tyers, 1-0) defeated Mario Valenzuela Portillo, 8-8-2 (2), with a four-round decision. Referee Chris Dean recorded 39-37.
Save Welter Harris Akbar, 1-0) Beat Octavian Gratti, 8-83-4 (4) by a four-round points decision. REferee Kevin Parker achieved it 40-36.
