Lightweight contender Andy cruz (5-0, 2 food) gave a Masterclass show and defeated Omar Salcido (20-2, 14 COs) by a running unanimous decision of 10 round in their co-function Saturday night at Las Vegas Cosmopolitan, Chelsea Ballroom, in Las Vegas.

The 2020 Olympic gold medal winner Cruz injured Salcido in rounds nine and ten with powerful shots he never saw. In the final seconds of the tenth, Salcido was on his feet after being caught by a right hand of Cruz, and he was forced to keep surviving.

Cruz landed 203 off 610 strokes for a 33% connection rate. For his side, Salcido ended up 53 of 474 for 13%.
This Cruz performance may have stolen the show for tonight’s event, but we will have to see what Diego Pacheco, the super-middleweight contender for Diego Pacheco, is doing in the main event in his 12 round against Stevenson Nelson.
