Anna Blinkova has built a reputation as a polyglot and did not disappoint Jianxi’s fans on Sunday as she addressed them in Chinese. She didn’t disappoint her fans either, as she outlasted 17-year-old Lilli Tagger to win the Jianxi Open title, 6-3, 6-3.

Blinkova came in a clutch, winning the last four games of the opening and the last three games of the second set to claim her title.
The world No.95 saved seven of nine break points and won her first title since 2022 without dropping a set. She is up to number 63 in the WTA live rankings.
Tagger, this year’s Roland-Garros girls’ singles champion, is up to a career-high 155 in the live rankings.
