12th Green in Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club in Whistler, BC

Strangling Fact #1: Golf and Degree Mountain have a common number of things. For example, both sports are white chest work that can cause bladder, nerve cramps and mental thaw. Also, both sports may require the “player” to clear mandatory gaps and if there is a failure to fly adequate distance there are fines to be paid. However, when the “course” is over and the minimum massacre is done, there is usually a smile of ear in the participant’s face. I learned all this on my last bicycles and mourning birds Whistler, British Columbia.
Situated 75 miles north of Vancouver in the coastal mountains stimulated by the Canada, Whistler is, first and foremost, known as one of the leading destinations of North America alpine ski. A 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Whistler attracts over two million visitors each year. And many of them come with ski and Poles in hand. (Permanent population is just over 13,000.)
However, while Whistler is a proven and true winter miracle, the summer season has a vibe-and a clientele-is completely different. Two big reasons for this?

First of all, Whistler is regarded as an early pioneer and, surely, the epicenter of mountain bikes accessed. In both the main mountains – Whistler and Blackcomb – dozens of paths are plunged down the fall of autumn. The inclusion of berries, points, gaps, gaps, and other technical features made by car, the paths here are legendary and people come from all over the world to board Whistler.
Second, Whistler is home to four of the best mountain golf courses in Canada. Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club, Whistler Golf Club, Nicklaus in the north AND The great heavenly golf At the nearby peberton, display a brave and beautiful mountain golf brand that is deceiving the distinctive hackers for decades. Breaking golf balls against glacier wet peaks and setting the wonderful greens that embrace pearl lakes are the first for the course in Whistler.
Strange Fact #2: Golf and Mountain bike pair together. A morning trip. One round afternoon. Or vice versa. It functions as a charm. Especially in Whistler where everything is in the vicinity.
Strange Fact #3: Discount mountain bike does not have to be an experience of bone breakdown, damaged by death, Mach 3 type of experience. Undoubtedly, the semi -crazy contestants in the Whistler Crankworx competition (watching video footage will make you clash) “Play a game”, to borrow a phrase from Bobby Jones, “with whom I’m not known”.

Whistler of Tourism
However, just like any sport, newbies – thanks to teachings, light green trails with benign features and happy joy, full body armor that can be rented – certainly have an entry point.
Although I spent a right time in a bike place, I found my two-hour private lesson with a qualified coach an invaluable necessity of bone saving. And although my abilities were not even close to being adequate to handle a diving down A-line (the legendary black diamond tracks that made the Biking Mountain Whistler scene famous), I managed to stay in the “cabin” for a few leisure down the less gap.
“Gaps” are also the name of the game in spectacular Robert Trent Jones Jr. Designed Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club. And, unfortunately, if you do not have at least a little fire force, you will fight by cleaning some of them. However, while the nine challenging front, which contains some harsh nail holes, will keep you humble, nine stunning rear is an attractive deduction journey that epitomizes what is the exciting nature of the mountain golf genre. Numerous holes, such as PAR-3 worthy of the postcard, offer gorgeous spaces and shots with Tee-Mountains.
While the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club is a Poster for Golf Mountain Golf Golf, three other courses in Whistler also boasts exciting stretch and fantastic views.
For example, in Nicklaus North, for example, the ends of the shore closure of the Green Lake and give one of the most beautiful golf environments in the province. The 17th, a long par-3 with a green-protected green in the water, is one of the most photographed holes in British Columbia.

Although most of Nicklaus North, a signature design Jack Nicklaus, is directed to relatively flat terrain, bold bunkers, wicked greens, water risks and trees associated with trees make a challenging test. Interestingly, this is the only golf course in the world with “Nicklaus” in the title. So yes, expect to encounter some “bear” features. However, tourist players do not need to be afraid. From regular regular tee, the course is a 6,026 modest yards.
Located in the heart of the city, the Whistler Golf Club is cut from a slightly different cloth. The layout is narrow, sporty, walking and friendly for users. Designed by Arnold Palmer in 1987 (this was his first Canadian design), the WGC is pulling, literally, any kind of golf. At 6.722 yards from the back tee, it is a challenge suitable for scratch players. However, similar to Nicklaus North, from regular tees (6,004 yards) gives the average player of resort a wonderful and “possible” experience of mountain golf in a relatively soft (but absolutely beautiful) parkland site.
Speaking about the beautiful sites, the Big Sky Golf Club in Pemberton (20 minutes north of Whistler) is glued to a perfect pocket of fertile agricultural land, under the flying ramps of Mount Currie. The course, an extraordinary Bob Cupp design that opened in 1994, slips along the meadows and cuts through the pines and is almost pristine and peaceful as golf land. Thanks to the beautiful streets of bentgrass and a wonderful character, what-you-see-what you have taken on the character, this is an indispensable course to play when visiting the Whistler area.
Talking about what-you-see-what to get, if you are including a little mountain bicying in your Wistler golf removal, I would recommend keeping your eyes obsessed with what is in front of you. Like golf, it’s more fun to clean a gap than, ahem, not cleaning a gap. Of course, you will be pleased to know that playing “ground game” is completely acceptable in both. Last Fact: Regardless of your steering skills, a bike and birds of birds in Whistler are likely to be the most entertainment you will have throughout the year.
