Purpose of the day during the last round of 2025 VALSPAR Championship may have come just like Leaders were hitting the courseAnd came the courtesy of a left hand billy horschel.
Horschel hit his second shot in the fifth PAR-5 hole in the copper course to the left approximately from a tree. Horschel did not have a stand from the right side, so he crashed and hit an iron stroke with 31 meters back.
Horschel closed it by rolling on the bird hit 31 meters to reach 6-nine-par and within two shootings of Victor Hovland’s supremacy at the time.
Horschel finished the tour at the 8th nine. After the round, he was asked about the left strike.
“I grabbed a 9-hook, hoping it wouldn’t go too far, and I just hoped to freeze it and go straight,” Horschel said. “The funny thing was my little boy was about 50 yards in front of with just to leave on the CART SITTING DOWN, AND I HAD TO HIM TO SORT OF THE WAY BECAUSE I DIDN’T KNOW EXCEPTY WHER HER I JUST HIT MY SON WITH A GOLF BALL.
He has fought to start the season so far. He has only one Top-10 in nine startups coming to the Valsspar Championship.
He played well through two rounds of last week’s players championship before shooting a Saturday 77 to contradict. While he was fighting in the third round at TPC Sawgrass, Horschel gave a brutal honest walk to his game on Saturday with breeze.
While Horschel is deceived to start the PGA Tour season, he has been one of the stars of the inaugural season of TGL.
The Atlanta Drive Horschel will face the New York Golf Club in the TGL Championship, which begins Monday at ESPN.
Perhaps the horschel will bring out the left iron in the Sophie Center while he, Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay look to raise the Sophie cup.
