Bill Haney posted on social media that he was looking for ‘WBO Welterweight Champion Brian Norman Jr. Or his father. Fans are skeptical that Bill might be interested in setting a battle for his son, Devin, after the way he performed against Jose Ramirez on the Times Square card in New York last month.
Sinking or swimming match?
Can Bill be desperate enough to throw Devin (32-0, 15 COs) with Norman Jr. (28-0, 22 food) in a sink or swim-type fight? This would be one way for Haney, 26, to refute the belief that some fans have that he is still traumatized from his loss of Ryan Garcia in 2024. If Haney wants to prove that he is not shocked and spiritually crushed, he will be Norman Jr.
It is not regis Prograis that Devin is fighting if he is Brian Norman jr. For his WBO belt did not challenge. Bill could not think that Norman Jr. Old and washed. He is 24, two years younger than Devin.
The way Devin fought against Ramirez has made Tim Bradley suspect that he has PTSD, and was spiritually broken from the beat of Ryan at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Norman jr. Knockout alert
Norman Jr.’s fifth round of Challenger Jun Sasaki should have been enough on June 19 to scare Bill Haney for good. He knocked out Sasaki cold with a left hook, and he had to be taken out of the ring on a stretcher.
Lopez Fight has fallen apart
Bill wanted to match Devin against Theofimo Lopez with a big money fight on one of Turki Alalshikh’s cards. However, Lopez does not like the way it looked and was concerned about the robbery. So, he supported rather than taking the chance to lose a controversial decision.
Haney is in a difficult place because there is no popular fighters who are free and available to fight against him. He can’t afford to wait for Ryan to come back from his loss to Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero, because he seems to be taking some time to group again.
You don’t have to look for anyone. I will also arrive https://t.co/fpg8menda3
