Bill Haney posted a video showing his son, Devin Haney, working out in the gym and letting Ryan Garcia know that he has “six hours” left to submit to drug testing for a rematch to take place. The ultimatum failed to get a response from Ryan, who has been silent on social media.
The six hour deadline appears to be Bill’s power play. If Ryan agreed to this, it would be a sign of weakness. This would put Ryan in a one-down service situation if he agreed to the demands.
What is unclear is why Bill wants Ryan to report for drug testing without negotiations for a fight and with his lawsuit still active. Why would Ryan want or need to report to drug tests unless Haney dropped his lawsuit and negotiations took place?
Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) needs the rematch more than Ryan, as Kingry defeated him in Brooklyn last April. He has fewer options than Garcia because he’s not a PPV star, and he doesn’t have a massive social media following like him.
Ryan did 12.2 million Instagram followers compared to Haney’s 2.7 million, which is a significant difference.
“Kingryan, Tick Tock, not the app, but the clock. The world is finding out without drugs and alcohol, you’re just as afraid of losing as your fans who aren’t pushing you to help make this sport clean and glorious again,” said Bill Haney. Instagram.
“Ryan Garcia, you seize your opportunity. You have six hours left. You said you were working. We are too. Let’s see how much you want it,” says Bill Haneygiving Ryan a deadline.
It doesn’t look like Haney will be fighting Ryan Garcia next. Bill should have already floated the idea of dropping the lawsuit.
In the practice video of Haney, he didn’t look powerful or quick with his punches. When he comes back, he’ll either have to drop to 135 or fight someone without power at 140 or 147 who won’t take advantage of his power issues.
You must be dumb if you think I’m listening to what bill Haney is requesting
First, they are suing me
Second, I don’t need them at all
LMAO
