The Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol official Promo was released today for their Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship fight on October 12th in Riyadh. The 4 minute promo trailer is out of this world good for the Beterbiev-Bivol clash next month in 17 days time.
IBF, WBC and WBO 175-lb champion Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) and WBA champion Bivol (23-0, 12 KOs) are shown on a battlefield with swords, men fighting and dying in the action-packed promo .

The warriors climb a snow-covered mountain and end up fighting with swords as they are cheered on by their troops. The visual scenery is outstanding.
One weird thing that maybe should have been edited out of the Beterbiev-Bivol promo was Bivol killing a bear with a sword. It didn’t seem like a good fit because it looked cruel and destroyed a beautiful animal. The focus of the promotion had to be exclusively on Beterbiev vs. Bivol fight.
The inclusion of the bear being killed was a Russian-angle thing, as both fighters are from that country. The bear is a symbol of Russia and has been for many years.
Promoter Eddie Hearn says it’s the “biggest fight in boxing,” which is a good description of what this fight means. These are the two best fighters in their weight class, and both are still in their prime, on top of their game.
Bivol is the pure boxer who will want to dominate Beterbiev with his ability to box and move. In turn, Beterbiev will look to destroy Bivol to keep his perfect knockout streak going.
The Beterbiev vs Bivol event can be seen live on DAZN PPV on October 12th. The undercard is filled with notable fighters from the United Kingdom.
For Beterbiev to win, he’s going to have to push Bivol throughout because there’s no way he’s going to stand and slug with the KO artist in the middle of the ring. Bivol doesn’t have the strength or the punch resistance to fight Beterbiev without getting knocked out.
Beterbiev will likely focus on throwing punches to the body of Bivol to take away his movement and force him to trade. This is the tactic Beterbiev successfully used to defeat former WBC light heavyweight champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk in their October 2019 showdown.
