With five courses with 18 holes, two short courses and a course of placement, Bandon Dunes Resort Golf It is a golf smorgasbord on the southern coast of Oregon. And there is a long line in the slap.
Reservations reserve quickly.
But once you are inside, you are inside for all the golf you can eat. Out to the sun rising, ending a sunset. Bandon tradition calls for all day holidays.
Come in the night, however, there is time to digest while argue with your friends what parts of the property are the best.
Sorting of courses. This is another excellent tradition. Everyone has an opinion and no one is wrong (though if you go from the Golf magazine rating system, the message goes like this: Duna pacificBandon Dunes, Bandon Trails, Old MacDonald, Sheep Ranch).
And if you really feel engaged, you can get more gracious by listing the holes.
This is what happened during a last episode of Golf Podcast destinationwhich was fully dedicated to the bandon dunes and included a back and forth in the bands in the bandone that is closet in my heart and Simon.
My list bowed too much in the short 4s. I am partial to the 6th in the Pacific Dunes, with its narrow green, green -angle, drap on a dune and preserved by the Yawning Bunker, as well as the 16th in the bandon Dunes, a coastal beauty that is rightly ranked among the most photographed games of the game. My list also included the PAR-5 3 in the bandon trails, which begins on the edge of the dunes and flows into what feels like a fascinated forest, its road laid by strategically set bunkers. If you think of golf as a ride through a landscape, this hole fits the picture perfectly.
I scored others, like Simon, whose first choice came from the preserves, the oldest of the two Bando PAR-3 courses. Simon is particularly loving for the 9th hole, 130 yards in a distance -backed green from the Pacific and shade to the left from the shoulder of a dune.
