Augusta, GA – greetings, friends and happy Monday from Augusta National! I write to everyone from the press building, which is open to press conferences and work even though The course is closed Because of the rain. I’m on the eighth day of my 14-day stay in Augusta, and I’m feeling ready to get the masters week! A handful of my associates have joined me here for the next week, and we are all feeling very wise for energy.
I first followed the car final, chip and Sunday setting and it was the perfect way to start masters week. There may be a lot of stress that goes in a week of covering a great championship, but watching a group of very talented (and equally adorable) children who have their day of life in Augusta National facilitated any predictive anxiety I had about the next seven days.
Winners of car, chip and putt
Sunday in front of masters in Augusta National should be one of the healthiest days in Golf. Not only do we have past champions exaggerating with their loved onesWe have young children cheering each other, hugging their parents after big blows and giving iconic interviews.
Hey everyone! Hope you will have a great Sunday. Here are some adorable little children who are 100x better in golf than the rest of us pic.twitter.com/nscfy7rlzg

Let’s get to know the winners of any age division a little bit, will we be?

Ellie kim
Ellie Kim won the Division of Girls 7-9 in Drive Drive, Chip and Putt appearance. Her father introduced her with Golf during Covid and it’s safe to say the rest is a story.
“I’ve worked so hard for this. My dad has sacrificed so much for me, and I really thank him for the moment … We practiced every day and I feel like hard work … just being here in Augusta means a lot to me because not many people really have to be here so special. It is an honor to be here.”
And now for my favorite part of the content from Augusta so far this week. Kim’s competitors rushed to embrace the second one who revealed she won her age, and the video is so healthy. Such an excellent sport of sport from these little ones!
Kim’s role models are her father and Taylor Swift, and the lesson that made me a bigger fan. Kim, if you are reading this: What is your favorite song Taylor Swift?
Bella simoes
Next we have Bella Simoes, who won girls 10-11 dramatically.
All competitors were asked a series of questions when they qualified for the finals in Augusta National, and Simoes gave the most thoughtful and detailed answers. Let’s take a look.
What is the hardest thing about golf?
“Accept that you can’t control everything.”
Who is your favorite male golf and why?
“My favorite male golf is Tiger Woods because he has revolutionized the golf game with his incomparable ability, determination and charisma. His achievements, including 15 major championship wins, have inspired countless fans and players around the world. Beyond his success in the course, Tiger’s resistance and ability to overcome challenges make it a real legend in this sport. “
Who is your favorite female golf and why?
“My favorite female golf is Nelly Korda because she has consistently displayed extraordinary talent, tranquility and athlete in the course of golf. Her powerful swing, accuracy and ability to perform under pressure make her one of the best players in the world.
Who is the most delightful player in golf and why?
“The most delightful player in Golf is Nellly Korda because it’s elegant and secure, and she dominates the game. Its fluent swing, smooth pressure behavior and the ability to give herd shows make it highlight. Beyond its game, nelly’s style and professionalism have made it a model, inspiring new players all over the world.”
Food what food will you serve at the champions of your masters and why?
“Alfredo Makarona Shrimp”.
Simoes definitely has a future career in Golf AND Inspiring speech.
Alexanda
Alexandra Phung won her second car, Chip and Putt on Sunday after draining a hard blow in the 18th Green.
PHUNG won the girls’ division of 10-11 in 2023, which is great because it can say that she has won twice in Augusta National before her 14th birthday.
PHUNG can be just as familiar with Augusta as any car, Chip competition and Putt has ever been: she competed here in 2019, 2021 and 2023. When asked who her favorite golf is a really sweet answer.
“Leo Phung, my brother, because he is a great and wonderful person. He sacrificed a lot of time to help me by caddiing and traveling for golf.”
Here you can hope my sisters talk about me this day.
Abigail Henriksen
Abigail Henriksen won the 14-15-year-old split in her championship debut after sank a 15 pedestrian.
I hope Henriksen’s classmates give her a proper holiday when she returns home.
And now for the Division of the boys.
Joshua Hooper
Joshua Hooper won the 7-9-year-old Division, and he may have his superstition of golf to thank. Car champion, Chip and Putt says he should hear “Thunderstruck” from AC/DC on his way to the course before he competes, which is extraordinary given that the song came out at least 25 years before he was born.
Hooper was a man in a nutshell in his winning interview. Straight to the point! I respect it.
We cannot help with the puppy, but we can help with tickets. We will expect some, Joshua. Congratulations on the great victory! https://t.co/9fbildzsv3

I really hope Hooper wins the masters in about 20 years, because the menu of his theoretical dinner of the masters of masters is perfect.
“Calamani fried for apps, beef salinbova for dinner, Oreo Blizzard by Queen Queen for dessert.”
Dawson Dial
Dawson Dial won the 10-11-year-old Division and said he wanted to celebrate staying up all night (only if his father let him, of course).
I remember planning to stay all night as a kid and then fall asleep from midnight, so I’m very curious to know if dial did it all night. I have to imagine that he was pretty tired after his victory in Augusta National! I hope he wins there as an adult because the champions dinner menu he thought is nothing less than incredible.
What food will you serve in your Master’s champions dinner And why?
“Cheese bread, Lasagna pasta grass, cheese ravioli, and various noodles w/ meat, Alfredo sauces and salads. For dessert, I would have ice cream cookie (chocolate or vanilla) with M&M in Cookie.”
Hudson justus
Hudson Justus made Drive Chip and Putt Finals History along the way to his victory in Division 12-13, but it was his embrace with his father who will remember more.
Justus was already in his father’s arms when they announced his victory, and his tears show how much this championship means to the kids competing.
Anthony wu
Anthony Wu was inspired to qualify for the car final, Chip and votes after looking at his younger sister Kaylee to compete in 2022. He won the 14-15-year-old division on Sunday, and all I can think now is how talented he and his sister are.
Bernhard Langer’s new whip
My associates Emma Devine, Zephyr Melton and I left for West Lake Country Club in Augusta to chat with Bernhard Langer before starting his last masters.
Melton made Langer a small part of the masters-related questions, but I could not stop starting in the new Mercedez-Benz that he was talented in honor of his 41st and end in Augusta.
Some details on Whip: is a biased s-class manufacture, with embroidered masters logos, which were created with over 2,800 stitches. It also contains Langer’s signature on the center keyboard.
Let’s take a look at the journey.

The interior of the car is so, so cute. The directions of removable masters (though if I were Langer, I would never remove them) will not only include the Masters logo, they include the years Langer won.

The center of the center can be my favorite part. Whenever Langer looks down to put on his phone, put a bottle of water down or adjust the temperature, he will be remembered for his two masters victories.

I would love to receive a similar gift when I covered my last masters many years from now.
