David Banavidez’s recent victory against the WBA ‘ordinary’ light heavyweight champion David Morrell should place him at the number 1 place in the 175 pound division.
If you compare the performance of Benavidez (30-0, 24 COs) with what fans have seen in the two recent battles between Dmitri Biscvol and Artur Bererbiev, it is clear that ‘The Mexican Monster’ is the number 1 fighter in the 175 pound division. Banavidez and Morrell are easily the best two fighters in the light heavyweight section with a long shot.
Trilogy blockade
Benavidez will be excluded and not have the chance to fight Biblical (24-1, 12 COs) for his four belts at 175. It has already been reported that Turki Alalshikh Do you want a trilogy match between Bilyvolol and the recently beaten former light heavyweight champion better biev (21-1, 20 COs).

A new era
There is nothing wrong with the other top guys at Light Heavyweight, Biblical and Betterbiev, but they both look old and show signs of cracks in the facade that one usually sees in fighters at their age.
The fans who looked at the two fights between Dmitri and Betterbiev saw that these guys were slipping dramatically and nowhere near the younger fighters, Bansavidez and Morrell. The high work rate, pressure and youth of benavidez would be too much for Biblical. Morrell’s push and technical ability would overwhelm Bivolol or better.
