The golf travel market has been blooming, but is there any chance that the bum to be a bubble? Looked like a suitable question for Ben Cowan Dewar, co -founder and CEO I Kabota.

Since 2011, when he joined Gang dunes Founder Mike Keizer to open CabbitAt Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Cowan Dewar has helped turn the Cabot brand into a Marquee name into the destination golf, with an extension stretching from Canada to Caribbean, Scotland, France and beyond.

Work is a boyhood dream of Cowan Dewar, 45, who spent countless empty hours like a child making golf holes in school notebooks and approximate versions of his models on his family farm in Ontario, Canada. At college, Cowan Dewar started a golf business and continued on that path after graduation – but always with one eye to something more.

A catchment moment in his career came when Cowan Dewar, still in his twenties, persuaded Keizer to take a look at a promising coastal parcel in Nova Scotia, the site that would become a Cabot connection.

For Cowan Dewar, Keizer became a business partner and a mentor whose principles still guide his work at Cabot. The expanded company portfolio now includes such list A properties as Cabot St. Lucia in the Caribbean; Cabot Revelstoke in Western Canada; Cabot In Scotland and Cabot Bordeaux in France, as well as a major investment in Lofoten Links, a remote-Golf loved one on the Arctic district in Norway.

In recent years, no golf developer has made more titles.

The latest news from Cabot came just weeks ago, when Cowan Dewar was in Brooksville, Fla., To mark the official opening of Cabot Citrus Farms. The company’s first destination in the United States, Citrus Farms presents a full adjustment of the World Woods Golf Club, which has become a two -courses with golf and 18 -hole golf and real estate community, a pair of short courses, State of the State -the objects of art practice, two and four bedrooms and more.

On an unreasonable quick morning, the day after cutting the ribbon, Cowan Dewar sat for an interview with GolfA new golf podcast and travel to Golf.com to talk about his life in Golf and travel, his goals for citrus farms and Cabot as a whole, and why he believes the lure of the game is more powerful than every cycle of bum and bust.
