A year later, Baumgardner defeated Mikaela Mayer by split decision and won the WBO, IBF and The Ring belts. On the night of February 4, 2023, Baumgardner defeated Elhem Mekhaled by unanimous decision to win the vacant WBA belt.
With the victory and the addition of the WBA belt, Alycia Baumgardner became the undisputed super featherweight champion of the world. She would go on to make two successful defenses.
