Barcelona and Real Madrid support Rodri’s “strike” in the football calendar

Jules Kounde and Dani Carvajal have echoed Rodri’s comments that players feel like they have no voice when it comes to the impact a congested football schedule has on their wellbeing.

The Manchester City star made headlines this week later stating that the players could go on strike to make a stand against the large number of games on the calendar this season. His comments came, in particular, after the new format of the UEFA Champions League began, forcing teams to play more regular games to make for more exciting encounters early in the competition.

His thoughts, too supported by Liverpool’s shooting striker Alissonhave prompted more stars to speak out to share their feelings about the increased number of games.

“I agree with everything Rodri said,” he said earlier from Barcelona clash with Monaco in the Champions League. “The calendar gets longer every year, we have more games and less free time.

“We have been saying it for a long time and no one pays attention to us, neither the players nor the coaches are listened to. There will come a time when we will have to go on strike because it is the only way for those who decide to do it. to understand us.

“Every time we take more risks, there are more injuries because there is less free time. Now with the Club World Cup, we will reach about 70 games per season, which is crazy. If things haven’t changed, it’s because we have to organize and communicate more.”

“I think if you ask any footballer, he will tell you the same thing. It’s not just Rodri’s opinion,” he added. Real Madrid said star Carvajal. “I think it’s the players’ opinion and if this continues, there will come a time when there’s no other option. I don’t know what will happen, but it’s something we’re concerned about because we’re the ones who will suffer.”
