BANAVIDEZ’S BODY VIBLY: A key objective for Anthony Yarde’s title challenge

David Banavidez says he is willing to go to “war” in his title defense of his WBC lightweight belt against the challenger Anthony Yarde on November 22 in Riyadh. Yarde (27-3, 24 CO’s) has repeatedly said that he wants their fight to be a ‘war in the middle of the ring’ because he likes his chances in such a fight.

You can’t take out Yarde because he got a few times in their fight in 2023, although he hurt former lightweight champion Artur Betterur. Although Anthony lost, he showed that he was dangerous to even the best guys in the weight class.

Benavidez weakness: body shots

Banavidez’s vulnerability is for the body. We saw him injured against Oleksandr Gvozdyk when the former champion stopped on the later rounds and focused on his body. The ‘Mexican sample’ also has a weak guest tank. He was thrown out after nine rounds in both his last two fights against Gvozdyk and David Morrell.

“He knows what I bring to the table. If I respect someone, it’s the best out of me, ‘says Anthony Yarde during today’s press conference for his title challenge against David Banavidez.

Benavidez over -confidence: Yarde threat

David may not know what Yarde brings to this fight, because it is possible that he accepts that he will win. With the way Benavidez says he can beat someone on 175, it is a sign of over -confidence. He is too handled for his advantage and did not look carefully at the flaws he showed in his last two battles. Benavidez acts as if he can walk on water, and he is out of touch with reality. It is Classic Narcism.

“He knows I can hit. He can also hit. In boxing, everything can change everything one time. I wasn’t a world champion yet. I have to prove myself. I know who I am, and that’s who Benavidez is fighting, ‘says Yarde.

“Anthony Yarde has a lot of experience. I also like war,” says Benavidez. “I want to set an example. In the light heavyweight section, it doesn’t matter if they come in at their best.

Yarde’s Punching Power: Real

Benavidez (30-0, 24 COs) may want to reconsider a Slugfest against Yarde following the career’s punishment he recorded in his victory over Cuba’s David Morrell in February. He won that battle, but the big blows he took from Morrell did a number on his face.

In contrast, Morrell looked unnoticed. The reason is benavidez’s lack of power at the light heavyweight level, and many of his shots of his machine gun were blocked by Morrell

“I’m against someone. I feel that I am the best in the world against people with a lot of experience. If he wants to go to war, we will go to war. I see many openings in him. This card is one that will live a long time in history. I want to steal the show, ‘says Benavidez.

Is unlikely to be benavidez will “Steal the show” For the November 22, because there are too many talented fighters on the bottom map that can produce more impressive, drama-filled performances than he will do in the main event. He does not have the right opponent for him to get the most attention in this case. Yarde is essentially a six-round fighter
