Keyshawn Davis accused WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk and his team of sending a box of bananas, watermelon and a note to his room before today’s press conference for Friday’s battle in Madison Square Garden Theater in New York.
When confronted by Challenger Keyshawn (12-0, 8 COs) during the press conference, Berinchyk said he did not speak English and said that someone was trying to create fake hype By pulling the stunt to send watermelons and bananas to his room.
What was strange was how Keyshawn Berinchyk repeatedly interrupted when he tried to talk about his accusations. It was as if Davis didn’t want him to have the chance to deny it, and it’s fish. It looks suspicious If you accuse someone of something and then don’t let them talk.
Berinchyk’s denial
Davis did not buy Berinchyk’s denial and said he would take it out on him during the fight on Friday. He assumes that Berinchyk sent this stuff, but without real proof, he guesses. Anyone could have sent it.
