The ball hit Aga’s pads and came to a screeching halt. Agha took the ball back to Miraz as a gesture of common courtesy.

The decision infuriated Agha and led to a heated exchange with the Bangladesh captain Lytton Das when he reached the dungeon before being beaten, he threw away his helmet in disgust.
Mohammad Kaif took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his strong disapproval of the tactic. A staunch advocate of fair play, Kaif maintained that such desperation has no place in sports. He wrote:
“It’s not done that way. The hope of getting a wicket cannot justify this exhaustion. This is from the captain. Guys, please remember, never do what the Bangladeshi captain did, even with the World Cup final around the corner. A sport without fair play is not a sport.”
While the dismissal came down to the technicalities of MCC Law 37.4, Kaif’s sentiment resonated with those who believe a captain should uphold the game’s traditional values over opportunistic gains.

Pakistan bulldozed Bangladesh at 2n.d ODI to level the series
Despite the friction and late batting caused by Agha’s performance, Pakistan’s performance with both bat and ball was clinical. After being bundled out for just 114 in the first ODI, the visitors completely flipped the script. The youngster managed 75 off 46 balls Maz Sadagat and Agha’s solid 64, Pakistan scored a competitive 274.
In the second half of the match, Bangladesh’s batting line-up completely collapsed. Pakistan’s pace battery is in the lead Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauftook advantage of the moist conditions after the rain delay to perfection. Chasing a revised target at DLS, the Tigers never found their feet.
Sadagat proved to be the MVP of the match as he backed up his half-century with the 3rd goal. Bangladesh were bowled out for a paltry 114, ironically the same score that gave the visitors a massive 128-run win in Pakistan’s opener. With the series tied 1-1, all eyes turn to the final decider on March 15.
