Of all the bags in professional golf, the one I know, understand and have a very small hand belongs to Jon Rahm. Going all the way to 2021 when I started my time with Callaway Golf, one of my great tasks was to create content and story about Rahm which at that time was also in his first year with Callaway. My boss when Jeff Neubarth said me simply, “Meet him, stay, spend time because he is a large part of your work”
After so many hours in the rank, the rounds of practice on foot, texts, calls and content filming, my knowledge of Jon and his game are Master Class. Still nowhere near Caddy Adam Hayes or Trainer Dave Phillips … but very well. I even slipped a club in his bag in front of the 2023 Ryder Cup and is still there today.
He is no doubt my favorite player, and I will give you all even one more nugget he is a better person than he is a golf player. The easiest words to describe it are humble, thoughtful and honored. I have learned a lot from this guy in the 5+ years I have been in his orbit, he is special. I don’t say it easily.
The foundations of Jon’s bag:
- Keep it simple: JR tries to eliminate as many variables as possible. That is why you do not see a ton of change in the Yoy bag.
- Forgiveness on speed: Rahm will always take spines and forgiveness for speed. Always “If I can’t check, who cares for how far you go.” As we shall see throughout the bag, Rahmbo plays with a ton of attic compared to others. With his left -wing and lean wing, it is essential for releasing/rotating only in general, but he takes it a step further in terms of attic to make sure the rotation always stands at the highest end of the spectrum. Xander Schauffle uses a similar tactic. Both Kellen Watson’s players, someone knows what they are doing lol.
- He wants ownership: Rahmbo is always a player who will blame himself in front of the club. One of the intricate tasks of the rap tour Kellen Watson is to make sure Rahm is not “doing something work”. Since Rahm is a talented hyper and can shoot 65 with a broom, Kellen should pay close attention to how ion is shaking and reacting to a piece of gear. At this point he has cooked it, if he is turned off, Kellen can see it from a mile away.
- No compromise: If it is not significantly better, it is not going into the bag. End of history. The main word there is “visibly”. Little here or there does not move the needle, especially with the driver.
*Jon usually carries 15 clubs with him at every event. Only exchanges are between iron with 5 wood and services
Ball: Callaway Chrome Tour X
;)
Johnny Wunder
Notes: Roll rotating. Jon always wants to be in a rotational surplus no matter what. Tour X Ball has been great for him over the years, especially with short cuffs and wedges, being able to hit shots out of speed while maintaining rotation is one of the main reasons he changed to this ball.

Notes: Believe or not Driver Callaway Elyte TD has been Rahm’s favorite so far. Why? Mostly forgiveness, but to take it a step further has been the lack of a big miss that has allowed him to increase speed. Not to say that he did not love everyone, but this in particular he has mentioned that he is fast, forgiving and he trusts her. The other fun thing here is the axis circuit breaker he made with the rap tours Kellen Watson again at the end of 2023. This moves away from his Green 75Tx that has been in the bag for years (since the college) has flattened his already elite driver’s game. The perfect shares for Rahmbo with a driver are 11-12 Launch/2300-2500rpm Spin/178-184 MPH the speed of the forehead.
Order Driver Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond

The future of the compositions The triple eryte diamond driver contains a new thermofformed carbon wreath. This airspace carbon fiber enables rapid head speed while optimizing boot and rotation. Notes: The Fairway Woods has not changed since 2021. The Triple Diamond platform was specially created for Rahm and beyond Tony Finau and Jonathan Byrd, no one else has it in the bag. The most obvious feature of “T” is the camera in the only model that allows Rahm to hit in it and take it through the ground (almost like a wedge). He wanted a profile that lived in the middle range of the rotation that would not dive much down to the right of the left shooting and this was perfect year after year. Ai-Smoke is a copy of the og epic speed he had in 2021. Rogue and Paradym had some changes in the weight of the wise design, but this set in S-Sloke has been the team’s favorite. I don’t see those coming out of the bag at any time soon. They didn’t make an elyte version. With regard to graphite design axes in both, it is essentially a felt and rotating thing that he prefers all together. The profile vs Ventus Black is quite different, but keep in mind that his angle of attack is much steep with his straight paths resulting in different smart shaft needs. Di works well on the right streets for a ton of players because of its softer features from the glove to the middle section and a strong top. This allows the ball to rise, with rotation which is ideal for a 3 or 5-dru.
APEX UT: (21@20.5) used as an iron 3 1/2 (single weight 10g)
The axis: KBS Tour Hybrid Prototype 105x (40 inches, D2)
;)
Johnny Wunder
Notes: The “chicken stick” as we like to call it sits down quite narrow of the wise garden (not to carry) in its 5-tank and finds its way when the courses are passing fast. It is the only real exchange for the bag he ever makes. Apex UT who is over 10 years old (launched in 2014) and has been a cult classic since then. In the test, Jon hit a host of options, but ignored them all after hitting this, it was immediate love. Now the fraud is finding reserve.
Irons: Apex Pro (4) APEX TCB 24 (5-PW) All cuffs D3 and +3/8 in length 38.375 in 5-iron
Lofts: 23.5/27/30.5/34.5/38.5/42.5/46.5
Shafts: (4-PW) px 6.5
;)
Johnny Wunder
Notes: Continuing the topic of minimum variables, TCB cuffs have not changed since day 1. Same iron species, shafts, gloves, etc. TCB appear to work in this case because of the iron and single medium set. Rahm usually hits a cut with each club and TCB compensation allows its starting line to stay in or left from the central line. Regarding the “club I slipped in the bag”, Apex Pro 4-Iron made his way during a content shoot in 2023. When it was launched apex pro that summer I had a feeling that JR would like to release everyone by keeping the same speed and rotation which was the essence of that iron. If you watch the video below, you will see them all descend.

Check out 3: 53-4: 20… this is when it happened. Literally. After the shoot, they tried to take him from him, assuming he would never go to the bag and he caught him again and said “this is staying with me.” The club has been cemented in the bag since then.

Notes: In addition to LW, wedges have also remained the same since day 1 in Callaway. Jon likes 52/56 because of the shorter heel in the foot profile and 60, he has been in OPUS T Grind since 2023 US Open in LACC and this new proto since January this year. The new LW has added lead tape to get it to the desired weight of the shake, Jon mentioned that the new PS has a fast feeling through the Earth and seems to start below with more rolls.

Notes: Nugget quick to exchange from he-a rossie S he has had in the bag since the end of 2023. The blue end in that putter meant when they put it in the attic/lies car creating two unwanted vision lines. Although delicate, Jon would notice them and this would affect the way he aimed at Plorin. As a player who hates alignment aids, his og rossie s is an empty canvas and allows him to focus only on the red line on the ball. He also won both of his diplomas with that putter, so there is another reason.
